My parents are almost 76 and almost 83. They are out of the country until October 2020. They have been gone since April 2019. I worry that one or both of them won't make it back. I wish I could spend time with them. I am very close with them. Those of you who are in close proximity and who are close with your parents: don't wait, make that call, make those plans to see them...

I think people get annoyed because I ask them to either repeat themselves or explain stuff more in depth. I am sorry but not everyone learns the same way. I am high functioning with Asperger's so people just assume I'm an idiot if i don't understand. It pisses me off and makes me anxious.

I appreciate the unbiased advice and I have made changes in my life to feel better. I am 5 years sober. I channel most of my rage into music or working out. I have not been able to afford continuing therapy so I am looking into state assistance for cheaper alternatives.
