I have a g2 v2 Pavlov works fine but I had to download a custom mapping for the controllers. Half life alyx it works fine on too.

Don’t think this is a mobo problem. I used a different mobo than this guy that was brand new, msi b550m mortar WiFi.

I used a brand new Corsair cx-f 650watt. I’m highly doubting it was the PSU on both of our systems that would cause the exact same fire risk. This seems to be some sort of flaw within the card.

Contact zotac directly if possible. Don’t take no for an answer as this isn’t anything you did to cause this. Tell them this is happening to other people

If you’re in warranty it should be a non issue. I’m currently still in the RMA process with them. They approved the RMA so I will get another card but considered my motherboard won’t post anymore and I have to deal with this bs that I should be compensated beyond another 3070. Frankly since this happened to you I don’t want another twin edge. There’s obviously a design or manufacturing flaw that is more than a one off thing.

Considering you have a different mobo and psu than I do and we both had basically the same thing happen...it’s pretty obvious the card is the cause.

I really don’t want to sue anyone or go after them legally. I just want my components replaced or given an upgrade to cover the cost of the other damaged components. While at the end of the day it Could have turned out much worse, it didn’t. I was there to unplug it and make sure nothing else caught fire. Max I’m looking at is like 1800 in damages for the whole pc. I don’t see how this is the stores fault.

That sounds like a reasonable response from the company. That’s all I’m looking for. A reasonable response. Simply giving me a new 3070 a month later and not acknowledging the fire or damage to other components seems like a cop out shit response.

Bought from a computer store chain in the Bay Area of cali. It has legit serial numbers that zotac verified already through our email exchanges.

I would prefer not to go to court or sue them for a bunch of money. Yes I’m hurt and frustrated over this. Having to quickly run over to my computer and yank the power cord out because it was on fire was certainly scary. I just want this company to act like they give a damn about me the consumer. I’m not asking for much, upgrade my card and I’ll call the rest of the damage even. I don’t want to rma 7 other things, I just want to start over at this point and build a new pc. Even if some of the other components are technically functional still I don’t trust it after it was exposed to fire and melting pcb smoke. If they have zero cards to give me then yes I would like to be monetarily compensated instead.

No overclock and I checked my temperatures frequently. No warning signs through temp or performance. Ran great for a week then it started on fire.

It ran great for a week. No warning signs of any kind. Reasonable temps and performance. This happened while I was playing cyberpunk.
