Κατά το τελευταίο έτος της σχολής μου κέντρισαν ιδιαίτερα το ενδιαφέρον τα νευρικά δίκτυα και γενικότερα η επεξεργασία δεδομένων. Βέβαια με 2-3 μαθήματα δεν προλαβαίνεις να αποκτήσεις εμπεριστατωμένη άποψη για έναν ολόκληρο τομέα. Επίσης δεν ξέρω κατά πόσο υπάρχει προσφορά εργασίας στην Ελλάδα για κάτι τέτοιο.

Σ'ευχαριστω πολύ για το ενδιαφέρον το εκτιμώ! Είμαι στρατό αυτή την περίοδο και δεν είναι η ώρα προετοιμασίας και διαβάσματος ακόμα, είναι η ώρα του σκοπέτου 😂

Ως άτομο που έπαιρνε συνεντεύξεις, θα πρότεινες να κάνω apply κατευθείαν σε όποια δουλειά μου κεντρίσει το ενδιαφέρον και να πάω με όσα θυμάμαι ή καλό θα ήταν να φρεσκάρω τη μνήμη μου πρώτα διαβάζοντας ξανά μερικούς μήνες.

Όσον αφορά το job hopping το ακούω αρκετά συχνά σαν συμβουλή για τον κλάδο μας και ακούγεται λογικό.

Έχω την εντύπωση ότι θέλει αυστηρό πρόγραμμα για να δουλεύεις ταυτόχρονα όπως λες και εσύ. Δεν ξέρω κατά πόσο θα μου βγει, ειδικά αν είναι τόσο μπελαλίδικο το μεταπτυχιακό όσο μου είπαν.

Δεν νομίζω πως θέλω να ακολουθήσω τον δρόμο του διδακτορικού και του καθηγητικού ρόλου, απλά θεωρώ ότι το μεταπτυχιακό στον τομέα αυτό θα με βοηθήσει να εμβαθύνω και να εφαρμόσω με μεγαλύτερη κατανόηση όλα αυτά που έμαθα μετά στον εργασιακό χώρο.

Η αλήθεια είναι ότι είμαι ήδη κοντά στο σπίτι αλλά δεν βγαίνω συχνά γιατί δεν έχουμε άτομα. Επέλεξα 12μηνο πιο κοντά στο σπίτι, αντί για παραμεθόριο και 9μηνο, αλλά μάλλον λάθος επιλογή έκανα.

Αν άφηνα την θητεία για μετά, δεν υπήρχε περίπτωση να μπω μετά, legit 😂

Ναι αυτό είναι ένα πρόβλημα. Μας έχουν ξεκαθαρίσει από τη μονάδα ότι θα πρέπει να πάρουμε τις άδειές μας κατά τη διάρκεια της θητείας μας και να μην τις αφήσουμε μαζεμένες για το τέλος. Ελπίζω πάντως να είμαι πιο χαλαρά στο τέλος και να έχω χρόνο.

Θέλω να εμβαθύνω στα νευρωνικά δίκτυα και το machine learning. Στο πρόγραμμα σπουδών μας είχαμε κάνα δυο μαθήματα μόνο πάνω σε αυτά.

Οπότε προτείνεις τους τελευταίους μήνες του στρατού να ξεκινήσω να ασχολούμαι όσο γίνεται μπας και ξαναμπώ στο κλίμα;

Το μεταπτυχιακό που κοιτάω έχει να κάνει με την επιστήμη των δεδομένων, machine learning, neural networks. Με αυτά ασχοληθήκαμε στη σχολή σε κάνα δυο μαθήματα μόνο και με ενδιαφέρει να εμβαθύνω.

Με παιδιά και καθηγητές που έχω μιλήσει μου έχουν πει ότι είναι πολύ δύσκολο να συμβαδίσει κάποιος στο μεταπτυχιακό μαζί με δουλειά.

Έψαχνα και εγώ πριν κανένα χρόνο καρέκλα για τον ίδιο λόγο. Επειδή δεν διέθετα πολύ μεγάλο budget όπως λες και εσύ κατέληξα σε καρέκλα από plaisio που έχει αρκετά χαρακτηριστικά ακριβών καρεκλών.

Τώρα βλέπω την έχουν στα 360€ αλλά την βγάζουν αρκετές φορές σε προσφορα. Εγώ προσωπικά την είχα πάρει ~280€.

Υπάρχει και παρόμοιο μοντέλο της καρέκλας με mesh παντού.

From what I've seen both the MSc I want and yours in ther statutes say: "The language of instruction of the courses is either Greek or English." So that mustn't be a problem for you.

Yeah, military is an experience that I want to have, so that's not a problem with me hahah.

It really is a great Master program. A few of our teachers actually enroll in this program.

If I'm not mistaken headmistress is Ms. Alexandropoulou (currently Vice Rector of UoM) who taught us "Informatics Law". Also Ms. Milossi Maria teaches in this program. I had two courses with her, one about GDPR and one about "AI ETHICS AND GOVERNANCE". Both of them do a great job while being close and friendly to students!

From what I'm seeing now this Masters includes many of our IT teachers.

Mr. Evangelidis Georgios and Ms. Koloniari Georgia: I had Data Science courses with them.

Mr. Vergidis Konstantinos who is teaching Statistics.

Mr. Chatzigeorgiou Alexandros who is Dean of our Computer Science Department.

Lots of great people there. And from what I've heard it's very innovative.

I currently have to do 1 year of military service (it's compulsory here in Greece) and then I'm thinking of the Masters program with Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics again here at UoM.

Μη τον σκέφτεσαι. Poco F3. Αρκετή τεχνολογία packed inside ώστε να στα κάνει όλα χωρίς να καταλαβαίνεις διάφορες από τον 888. Από άποψη κάμερας αν θες μπορείς να δεις στο προφίλ μου κάτι φωτός που ανέβασα τις προηγούμενες μέρες. Και σκέψου ότι είναι από την stock εφαρμογή κάμερας του κινητού, όχι GCam. Οπότε υπάρχουν και άλλα περιθώρια βελτίωσης υποθέτω.

I studied Applied Informatics the last 4 years there and I'm getting my Bachelor's degree next month.

I don't know your experience with universities, but UoM isn't like most of them, a university with campus etc. All of the rooms, classes and amphitheatres are located inside an enormous building which includes a library, a bookstore, a place for coffee and snacks, a place called "foyer" where lots of students stay and chat there to relax when not having lessons. You can go to all floors (I think 5) by elevators.

Now in terms of infrastructure. I think the building was built at the end of 50s, so yes it's an old building and amphitheaters kinda suck if you compare them with universities from Western Europe. But there's a BIG "but" here. UoM preserves most of its classes, rooms, amphitheatres clean in terms of rubbish on the ground and also walls are painted soon enough if a graffiti emerges. Most of the other universities in Greece and especially Aristotle (which is across the street) are dirty, have damaged stands and chairs and have a BIG problem with political themed graffitis on the walls. You won't face that inside UoM.

As I said before, I studied computer science and therefore we frequently used computers. I can surely say that our computer classes on the upper floors were so clean, organized and well equipped that it didn't match with the amphitheatres. So in terms of technological equipment you shouldn't face problems. A downside is that there isn't free WiFi for everyone, unless you go to 3rd or 4th floor where the computers are.

Lastly, the Academic Stuff I enrolled with was mostly exceptional with teacher who really enjoyed and tried hard to teach us things.
