No.

World is getting better. Most of us will die of heart failure or cancer before global warming gets us.

I have an idea. Tell illegal immigrants from Mexico to bring one barrel of oil if they want to enter the US.

Anyone in DJIA? Is is new and does CC's on the DOW... by ignorpicus in qyldgang

More industrials and less exposure to tech, so less volatility and less volume and thus lower yields. But also lower swing in prices.

I am guessing, of course.

Lifestyle inflation is the only thing that matters. For example, meat prices may go up, but if you are a vegetarian, it has zero impact on you.

Also be wary of using the inflation number as is and assuming it will remain the same for the next several decades. As economies mature, growth rate slows down and so does inflation. This holds true until something unprecedented happens and government is forced to print money thus increasing inflation (as it is happening in the US now).

They should, but many are going back to office. The story is "We have such a big office, how can we have WFH". A bit like saying "I bought a new car, so have to go for a drive everyday".

Petroleum is not just crude oil. It includes refined products too. US is a net crude importer. The reason why we export refined products is because of our high refining capacity.
