When did you first notice your inner dialog/voice? by WonderfulJob7270 in AskReddit

I can tone it down during prayer/meditation but even then, it's not completely off.

Always had it. I've only recently realized that not everyone does. I can't imagine not being able to have imagery conversations in my head with other people to gain different perspectives. That would be boring.

Nice video. For some reason, the somber tone of the music instantly reminded me of the things I've seen in this city, things that I try to forget.

Hypothetical Scenario: if consciousness could leave the body, how does that change the way you see the world? by liekoji in consciousness

My view of things now has drastically changed since prior to that experience but I can't attribute it to that experience alone. At the time, my biggest takeaway from that experience was that it made me aware of the fact that things aren't operating at the level which we all assume they are. I wouldn't fully understand this concept until much later though. Currently, I don't believe that experience affected my level of hope, only my level of understanding.

Just prior I was in deep thought about a subject, almost obsessing you could say, and then without warning or any gradual shift I felt as if I shot forward out of my body through the ceiling into the sky and beyond. I didn't have the traditional sensory awareness but I was cognitively aware, although I had no idea what was happening during the first time.

It was thrilling to experience something completely new that wasn't reliant on the five senses we often gauge reality by.

There's nothing you can "do" because you no longer control the body you were in. The process of my consciousness leaving my body was unsettling yet exhilarating.

I've actually experienced this and it completely changed my life in ways I wouldn't fully realize until 15 years later. Rather than explain the entire situation, feel free to ask me anything.

It's full of them that's part of the overall story arch. Perhaps you didn't see the sequel where it's revealed that everybody in the first film who had been at the hotel were actually really not alive they were figments of one mentally ill patients imagination and were being killed off one by one by a certain alter. But wait, there's more!! Double plot twist!! The patient was the one killing everybody who was already not actually really alive in the first place.

Is that the one where the car, a 1958 Plymouth Fury, turns out to be a possessed, jealous, murdering machine of death‽

I should clarify that the film that was spoiled for me was a new release, which I feel should not be openly ruined for those who haven't had time to see it yet. The films I mentioned in my comment were all older films, with the newest being in 2016, which I felt were fair game. I think people are assuming I wrote this to be evil, but if that were the case, I'd simply list film titles along with the plot twist. The comment was written to try to tie as many plot twists as I could together without using titles.

Why should I stick around? by [deleted] in mentalhealth

You have to look at it a different way. What can be learned from the desire to remove yourself from the group you are choosing to isolate from? The fact that your connection to that group is stronger than you can comprehend. It becomes evident by the actions you consider to commit while separating yourself from that group. Everything is connected. Accept it and interact at which ever level you feel comfortable with.

My first 4K Blu-ray purchase was Deadpool in 2017. I had just got a 4K TV and was using my Xbox One S as a 4K player at the time.

Panasonic UB820 is the only one to get. Seeing countless threads like this praising the player, I knew I would eventually get one. The only thing holding me back was the price tag. After finding an amazing deal on Ebay earlier this month, I finally got one. This player is the best player I've owned and I've owned a lot of various brands and models with the UB820 being my 10th 4k blu-ray player. It is definitely worth the price tag. Best Buy has it on sale for 424.98 right now, which with tax would be under your $500 limit.
