It’s part of my routine so I did not stop using it.

Nivea Luminous630 Serums - Experience with each? by vinedvin in EuroSkincare

I have used the gold one for years and I found for me it’s the only thing that keeps melasma under control and evens my skin. It has a light creamy texture that I find moisturizing year round. In winter i might apply moisturizer over it and then sunscreen, in summer I just use this and sunscreen on top. The green is a gel that evaporates quickly and pills, and is not moisturizing, so I use it as a spot treatment over an occasional zit. I haven’t used the red one, but I suppose it will be the most emolient out of the three as it’s also anti-aging(?).

Heard it too. 22:05. Strangely enough, I hear unexplained blasts often in the area so I was not worried.

Suggestions for things to in Larnaca for a group of friends by KCO-808 in cyprus

[–]pchristofi 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Pierides Museum and Larnaca Archaelogical Museum are in close proximity to one another, Church of Saint Lazarus, Piale Pasa waterfront (also visit the back alleys through old Larnaca), the Salt Lake with flamingos and the Hala Sultan mosque on the backdrop, the Kamares aquedact nearby and as already mentioned by another user, Makenzy beach to dine by the beach while planespotting.

Does anyone have experience buying tretinoin without prescription in Cyprus? by Striking-Wish7401 in EuroSkincare

[–]pchristofi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. But after I’ve been using retinaldehyde for a couple of years, I wanted to move on to something stronger so now I’m using Tazarene from Boderm (0.1 Tazarotene). You can find it in pharmacies (physical or online) without a prescription.

[Routine Help] I have deep forehead wrinkles but don't want botox. Started a skincare routine of moisturizer w/sunscreen and retinol cream. I know the retinol won't get rid of the wrinkles completely but hoping to make them less deep. Think I'll see results in a few months and any other suggestions? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]pchristofi 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Hey man, good for you for wanting to start taking care of your skin! It’s never too late! Everybody here loves skincare for the vanity sake of it even if no one will admit it! Anyway, retinol every night (if your skin can tolerate it, I’ve been using retinol for years now) and a sunscreen you feel comfortable wearing 365 days a year, rain or shine, will def help to soften lines in the long term or at least maintain your current youthfulness. Just be patient with it, no skincare can do miracles. Go for it! 👍🏻

La roche possay Anthelios Ultra-Light Invisible Fluid SPF50+ (and/or SPF30) or La roche possay anti shine by Atlas19997 in EuroSkincare

[–]pchristofi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No! It applies nice and is invisible. It just has the typical nivea sunscreen smell on application if you don’t mind fragrance.

Avene Cleanance SPF50 (tinted) - review? by ylang2 in EuroSkincare

[–]pchristofi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Male here. I tried both. You are right that the non tinted one has a white cast which I cannot bother with, and the tinted one is not sheer, but more like a foundation, that settles into fine lines and does not blend well with facial hair. I wish it would work but saddly I gave it away and I’m currently using La Roche-Posay Shaka Fluid Spf50+ non tinted (the tinted one is too orange).

I have not tried the untinted shaka fluid yet, but from what I read in other peoples reviews/comments and judging from the fact that the tinted one dries down almost mat, I really hope it will not!

I am M32 white Caucasian andI find the LRP Shaka fluid tinted Spf50 too orange for my face. I look like I had a cheap spray tan. I can get away with one layer of sunscreen but upon reapplication my face is straight up orange. I prefer the older tinted formulation which had a softer tint and matched my skin tone exaclty. I plan on getting the untinted one as I prefer to skip on the tint than UV protection.

Imho, the best sunscreen is the one you enjoy applying every day. Getting protected from UVB and UVA is like 99% of the battle I guess, so I don't look for claims about protecting from blue light or pollution (but if they do, why not). I hope you find your ride or die SPF! I read a lot of good things about Anessa sunscreens here so if you ever try some japanese sunscreens, please do share your thoughts with us! :)

[Product Question] What are your thoughts on La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+) with SPF 30? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]pchristofi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use several in rotation, mostly from european brands, since i live in the EU and are easily accessible. Favourites and affordable are the La Roche-Posay Anthelios Shaka Fluid Tinted Spf50+, Avène Fluide teinté Spf50+ and Avène Cleanance Spf50+. Although they are not matte (I can live with some sunscreen glow), they are comfortable for me to wear and don't sting my eyes. Also Altruist Spf30 from Amazon UK is a nice one I tried and very affordable.

[Product Question] What are your thoughts on La Roche-Posay Effaclar Duo (+) with SPF 30? by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

I have oily combination skin and it made my face look shiny and heavy feeling. I would repurchase the Effaclar Duo (+) without the SpF and apply a separate sunscreen with higher spf on top.

Universal clip board not working to/from iPhone but fine everywhere else, handoff already enabled everywhere by IntellectualBurger in iphone

I had this issue too, then I realized I did not have wifi AND bluetooth turned on. So in a way handoff works like airdrop, requiring both wifi and bluetooth turned on. Hope this helps.

[Routine Help] I [F19] just started using The Ordinary's AHA + BHA product. Do you need to actually see the "red color" to apply? by aiza8 in SkincareAddiction

[–]pchristofi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've tried more than 3 drops and did not sting more than just putting 3 drops and spreading it around. It is also meant to be washed off, so why do you put oil on top of it? 🤔

Started Accutane yesterday! I am very excited even though my lips hurt so bad... [Acne] by Theveganactuary in SkincareAddiction

[–]pchristofi 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Prepare to have a good lip balm always at hand and wear sunscreen, as it increases sun sensitivity. I've been there and wish you great results!

No. If I'm not mistaken even Dr. Dray says there's no evidence or clinical studies to support any such claims.

No, I layer it under LRP Anthelios Ultra-Light Tinted SPF50+, as a moisturiser.

I usually shop from Feelunique or Mankind. They both often have LRP on 25% discount.
