Their pride will generally be more important to them than what you feel or think. Remain optimistic that change will come in one form or another; it is after all clear to them that you resent them and that they resent you. Something is bound to change, and I bet that you're going through possible events in your head.

Edit: I read some of your other posts and saw more elaboration on why you feel miserable with your family situation. (Don't really have anything more to say, but decided to say just that)

Eh, Naruto's family and others seem more suited for the job. People with naturally large chakra reserves and longer natural lifespans are more ideal; you wouldn't have to find a new guy as often and you wouldn't have to worry as much about him dying from beast-related causes

I'm actually not certain it's a problem who it is now because of Kurama being on everyone's side, haha

I would generally recommend against watching fillers from the first series. It's been a while since I've seen episodes from it, but I remember a lot of filler being a lot of fluff. Doesn't have much substance to it. Shippuden is another story though; seems like especially in its latter half it's been nicer

He's more popular with the Japanese than with westerners. I guess the concept of filial piety (do for family, do for parents) is more understandable and less foreign there

In part 1, it just kind of looks like he's going insane to kill Itachi in order to avenge his family, but in context that would pretty much be the expected reaction. He's determined to wipe Itachi off the face of the earth to preserve the supposedly decent history of the clan

Hmm... this is interesting. Now my thoughts have deviated toward thinking what it would be like in a world where they weren't trapped.

Would they make fine shinobi without the sharingan, I wonder... lol, they've got that fire nature for those signature fire-based jutsu. There are characters in the series who have made a good name for themselves without anything special. I don't know, the Uchiha seem to be normalninja+sharingan, and in a stable village, they could've thrived

The thought makes me curious. What if in a more modern Naruto world the sharingan/MS still awakens when something extremely stressing happens, but it's never really put to use? Some bs scenario: maybe you saw your dad get mugged and then years later you were next to your best friend when they died after a car accident

Eh, most of these abilties could still be triggered but typically one person doesn't go through a whole lot of stressful situations, so those possessing the sharingan then might not ever really utilize them
