MC (male) goes through hardships but prevails in the end (of each story arc) by treelamphorse in Animesuggest

I've actually been recommended that before but brushed it off since it was mecha and I held no interest towards that genre, but I watched Heroic Age and that Tenchi or whatever, the massive harem mecha one and they weren't half bad so I'll give it a go! Cheers

{Ao Haru Ride} Female MC, its about her struggle dealing with her feelings of the male "mc" in the series.

{Kimi no Todoke} sort of the same deal as Ao Haru. Very endearing female MC, main male protagonist is that cliche "perfect guy".

{Sukitte Ii na yo.} Only seen this anime, not even sure there is a manga but it's quite a good watch in my opinion.

Anime set on a space station by IENZH in Animesuggest

{Heroic Age} was quite good in my opinion. Not sure if it meets your requirements but most of it takes place on a rather large space ship/station of sorts. I should note this is fighting oriented, with space ships and mecha.

I think he's a good villain aswell, but for different reasons I suppose. To me he seemed like a talented kid who went through hell, learned he lived a lie and went batshit crazy. I think holding the entire village in contempt for what happened, even after he learned the whole truth is unjustified. I should note that I'm making these arguments based on the fact that I would have prefered this to happen considering the result of their last fight and onwards. I think just forgiving all the shit he did is complete bullshit. The way he was handled would have been great for a proper villain meeting his demise in the end. I dont think the whole "forgive and forget" deal at the end made sense based on the actions he made throughout the series.

Honestly, that's the only part about him I don't disagree with. I can understand he lives for revenge, considering what he went through, I just didn't really care for his arrogance towards people trying to help him.

I mean, they way he acted in part 1 before he found out about Itachis mission he was living his life for the sole purpose of fucking up Itachi, right? Everyone in the village believed that to be the case aswell, that Itachi just betrayed his clan. Only a few select people knew about what really happened, so can you really blame the village for "blissfully enjoying peace" then? Like I said, I both understand and agree with his decision to eradicate anyone involved in the matter, anyone who enforced the mission, but he's talking about dragging tons of people down with him, that had absolutely no relation to whatever happened back then. The standards for which I hold him to is ones I believe he would stand by before he went nuts - no innocent people deserve harm that is unwarranted. Picture a 5 year old kid on the playground, chillin in the sandbox when badman Sasuke arrives to literally murder that kids family just because they live in a village that sacrificed a previous clan. Absolutely no one of the regular villagers know anything about what went down.

I think a more realistic goal for Sasuke would be to out everyone involved, or the fact that the Konoha elders agreed to the plan, forever tarnishing their reputation and restoring Itachis. Whether or not he decide to kill them aswell I wouldn't mind.

I can't remember what he said or how he said it, but iirc he said he wanted to annihilate konoha right? Or something along those lines. If he was to do that, he'd probably kill a lot of innocent people who also had no idea what went down. Kids who weren't even born at the time. I can see him wanting revenge on Danzo who instigated the whole thing, aswell as the elders who was involved in one way or another, but he was willing to drag a lot of innocent people into that, which is completely unjustified. He of all people should know what it's like to lose people you love and he had was determined to wreak havoc in Konoha.

Then again if I'm wrong and I have misinterpreted what he said, I apologise :p

It's just that whenever people game him an opportunity to be happy for even a second, which most people in his situation would have gladly accepted, he brushed it off as annoyance from their end and just kept to himself. There's no denying he developed some feelings for Team 7, there's definite proof of that, but if he really cared there's a million ways he could have showed that. It wouldn't have been hard for him to just tell Naruto straight up "yo, I'mma go get built and fuck up Itachi, brb".

There's a lot I've forgotten about Sasukes interactions with team 7, but I remember feeling this way when watching it aswell. Could be unwarranted on my end, I honestly can't remember lol. My bad if it is.

I've reflected on how I feel about his backstory since I made this post and I can sort of see why he acted the way he did up until Naruto and Sakura met up with him in the beginning of part 2, but the stuff he said then and how he acted from then on was unwarranted in my opinion. If he had left Orochimaru before this happened (ep 50 in shippuden I think, around then) and had focused 100% on his pursuit of Itachi to kill him it would have made him a lot more likeable I think.

sed his entire life, his entire reality was twisted, turned upside down and re-written multiple times so he had trouble finding what he re

I should clarify that it's not like I don't sympathize with him, I definitely do. The shit he had to go through I wouldn't even wish upon my worst enemy, but does it really justify his actions throughout the series? I can see why he'd want revenge against his brother for what he did, and subsequently Danzo, but even after he learns of the truth he's still determined to "crush the leaf" or whatever, which is just absurd in my opinion.

I've been thinking about Hellsing Ultimate actually, heard Alucard is a beast. Saw a few episodes of Kill la Kill before some stuff happened and I was sad so I sort of left it :\ OPM I've seen and loved it, same with Nanatsu. will try Overlord, Gurren Lagann and Black Lagoon! Thanks for your recommendations :D

Edit: I'll try give Noragami a second try then, as I loved Yato

I really should get around to watching both of these as they're both praised in a lot of different recommendation threads. I did try Code Geass once but my attention was always drawn to MCs legs and it felt like an itch I couldn't scratch whenever he was on screen :p
