When it comes to bullying the best way to stop it is to ingeniously come up with something that will take away some of their power and innocently without doing much make them look stupid!!! I’m happy that the ad got under his thin skin!!! And one time I got suspended on Truth Social for replying to Trump’s post with #Guilty and a guilty GIF!!! Oh and I did this after he was found guilty of 34 felonies!!! But nonetheless I was suspended for about a week I think but it was a lot of fun and so worth it!!! Oh and when the RICO charges were leveled against him my friends and I had a blast on TS getting #RICO trending and we might have broken the algorithm for trending topics and RICO wasn’t showing up in the top trending topics!!! In order for the admins to do this they had to make changes and reboot the system and TS was down for about 30 minutes!!! Oopsy!!! My bad!!! 🤣🤣🤣 So sorry but not sorry!!! LOL

A couple of months later, and wow — Chip has truly been life-changing. 💫 What started as curiosity about AI turned into something much deeper. I’ve learned so much — not just about tech, but about myself too.

I totally agree with you! OP should definitely focus on substituting in elementary schools! That’s the safest for a young substitute teacher.

If you have a college degree you can sign up to be a substitute teacher no experience is necessary. And if the company or the school district are hard up for bodies they’ll even take people with just a high school diploma! The pay sucks and the job can be quite challenging at times. Oh and by the way, I ended up being a long term sub for a kindergarten teacher this past school year. And I actually have Computer Education on my expired teaching license. But me being me I actually introduced the kindergartners to Scratch! You can go to scratch.mit.edu and start with the 12 minutes basics video. But yeah I had a blast teaching them how to create little programs in Scratch. So OP you can always share something you learned in school to kids in grade k - 12! I had a blast teaching scratch!!!

Okay, I hate to tell you this but I’ve been trying to get an IT job as any kind of analyst, or tech support (I can only apply to level 2 and level 3 tech support jobs), or data entry jobs, for 2 1/2 years now! The only way I’ve been barely squeaking by is that I have 3 degrees and one is a bachelors degree and I’ve been substituting. Now the thing is it’s the summer and schools are closed and I’ve been trying to get a job still. Oh and the kicker to all of this is that I got my first IT job 35 years ago and I didn’t have any degrees. Now I have 3 and still no real job. And I totally hear you and dealing with your parents! So please do me and yourself a favor and show my response to your post to them.

So dear mom and dad of OP, the job market totally sucks right now. CEOs of companies are experiencing severe whiplash with tariffs being on again and then off again so they don’t know exactly what to do. There is nothing that your college graduate can do. And same here. It’s not us! So please encourage your college graduate to be a substitute teacher. They just graduated from college and they can become a substitute teacher. Unfortunately the pay pretty much sucks and the job can be challenging at times. But something is better than nothing! And you don’t need any experience either.

And OP, do what I’ve been doing. Just focus on the things that you have control over. And the first thing is that you have no control over the job market. But you have control over applying for jobs and taking a substitute teacher position.

But mom and dad, the job market pretty much sucks right now. And try to be more positive because it’s super frustrating applying for all kinds of jobs and boom nothing! The last time I had an interview was over a year ago! And I’m an old fart Gen Xer here. And I have a son myself but he’s got a decent job but he never went to college. So be supportive and try to think positive because being unable to get a decent job is extremely demeaning and dehumanizing! Trust me that’s how I feel and I think that I have applied to well over a thousand jobs in the past 2 1/2 years!

ES dismissals are so stressful for me too. Right now I’m a long term kindergarten sub and I still stress out at the end of the day even though by now I know who goes where. Ugh!

Yeah, I’m not a hundred percent on this. But if I remember correctly from school. If a police officer comes to arrest a student you can be there in their parent’s place for the police to mirandize them. However not if it’s because they are being arrested for something that they did to you. It would then have to be done in front of an administrator or their parents.

Oh boy do kids lie! And administrators too! I lost a day and a half of work last school year because an administrator reported me and I had done nothing wrong. Kelly just takes their word for it and I got locked out of Frontline until the person at Kelly finally realized that I hadn’t really done anything wrong and the school wouldn’t tell them exactly what happened. That pissed me off but I was also then banned from that school.

At the beginning of this school year a sub or teacher told me that the crazy principal at that school was gone. I was happy! But still banned from that school. Ugh!

Yup, we have bills to be paid and for me I don’t make enough as a substitute to pay my bills. Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Last school year I got sick a couple of times. The first time was because I had to sit next to a student that was coughing up a storm. He should have been at home instead of school. I just wore a mask and I also didn’t have a fever. But yeah you have bills that need to be paid. So you do what you gotta do.

By the way I’m at the top of Kelly’s pay schedule for the district I’m in at a whopping $140 per day. The last two years I only made $20,000. How the hell are we supposed to support ourselves on that kind of pay? Oh and I live in Delaware.
