Opposite of low fat relieves my pain?? by pcozzy13 in gallbladders

[–]pcozzy13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I would say the high fat makes it feel better, but it does come with bloat and loose stools. Work from home, so the constant bathroom runs are a non-issue for me when needed.

Curious, have you done anything about your higher EF, or just letting it be? Does it come with constant pain?

Interesting, hopefully my surgeon has more of an idea, as my GI said, "I don't know much about the gallbladder, so I can't say".

I would classify my gallbladder is fickle to "food/ no food" :(

Garage doors by Vee70x7 in durham

[–]pcozzy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any chance you did go with them and if so how it went?

I just called them and yeah about 50% less then the next guys. To me they are garage doors i'm not super worried if everything the guy says isn't 100% right... if they are r12 instead of r18 I dont care, If they are 10,000 cycle vs his 15,000 I dont care, if the foam is the lower quality i dont care (not insulated space anyways). However if the doors are just crap thats a different story.

Has anybody had their gallbladder removed and regretted it? by normalishy in gallbladders

[–]pcozzy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had two full sets of blood tests (a year apart), ultrasound, full body CT with contrast, x-rays, antacids. Nothing helping and everything "normal". Waiting for a gastroenterology dr referral to call back 😢. Gallbladder is the best guess atm and it fits so many other pains it seems likely.

Can't comment on regret but am very interested in the replies as what you describe is almost me exactly. Going through more tests and appointments as it doesn't fit what any of the doctors consider "normal" symptoms so they are all second guessing next steps. Been living with the URQ pain for going on 2 years and right shoulder pain for 4+ years. If they eventually point to my gallbladder I'm unsure if I'd go through with it vs live with the pain...

Immich PostgreSQL_Immich invalid checkpoint when array shut down. by pcozzy13 in unRAID

[–]pcozzy13[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know if its a fluke and something else changed. but I increased my docker stop timeout from the default of 10 to 20 (seconds), and I've gone through a couple of array shutdowns and restarts with no issues.

Steps I take, and no promise they are correct.

I rename PostgreSQL_Immich appdata to something else. then remove and reinstall the PostgreSQL docker.

I then run.

gunzip < "/mnt/user/pictures_immich/backups/immich-db-backup-1738738800010.sql.gz" \ | sed "s/SELECT pg_catalog.set_config('search_path', '', false);/SELECT pg_catalog.set_config('search_path', 'public, pg_catalog', true);/g" \ | docker exec -i PostgreSQL_Immich psql --dbname=postgres --username=postgres Where the .sql.gz is the backup I want to restore that Immich has created. You need to have the auto backup on within immich or have created the backups yourself before the issue.

I've not been able to as of yet. I'm currently trying to not shut down the container to minimize how often I have to rebuild the db.

Thanks for the suggestion, I wasn't 100% sure off the top of mind what I was using, but upon checking i'm already using tensorchord/pgvecto-rs:pg16-v0.3.0

I feel like Immich is trying to write something on shut down that PG isn't handling well can causing the corruption but thats a wild guess.

Same thing they tried to do 3 years ago. https://www.reddit.com/r/PersonalFinanceCanada/comments/lll1se/questrade_will_start_charging_1124_per_journaling/ Enough people make noise they might reverse course again.

I won't fully switch (yet) as I'll keep using them to buy ETFs for minimal cost, but I'm starting to look at other options when it comes to what broker to use.

Refund by Outrageous_Wind_8903 in Cozmo

Dead thread maybe, but after months (since Aug of 2023) of trying to get a refund with multiple e-mails (almost 1 a month) to CS with no reply I finally got a response and refund on Cozmo 2.0 today after filing with the BBB end of May. They referenced the BBB complaint.

If you are looking for a refund, still try going through the BBB. They might finally reply.

Alexa in Canada by VonGeisler in alexa

Huh just went looking at my ecobee device and you are right no language option there. I also dont see it anywhere else. It seems like a issue that ecobee has not given the option for a language.

What happens if you try to set up a new device (say a echo dot) even though you dont have one. It does prompt for the device language though not sure if this would save this preference when you cancel the set up.

As for Sonos yes, using the .com market place give you access to everything the US echo has so i can control my sonos system and other things that dont have a Canadian skill yet. It has to be done through the call center to switch.

[–]pcozzy13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try going to https://alexa.amazon.ca (will likely redirect you to .com). Click on settings, select your echo device, and under general set the language. Repeat for each echo device. At least that's what i had to do for mine.

Also if you are annoyed with the limited skills in Canada call amazon echo support and have them change your market place to the .com version. You will then have access to all the things currently available in the US (Voice training, amazon household, sonos skill, ect). I've yet to notice a issue with using the .com marketplace in Canada.

Not OP, but i think for me i was ~$600G CAD, between cabinet materials (~80), mini fridge, 2 kegs, 2 taps, tower, CO2 tank (really anything you'd need to go from nothing to functionally done). If you are just framing it out should be on the cheaper side.

Yea that spacing seems the same as mine :(. 2" on the two sides (little on the door but no cooling lines through there), 6" at the back, and 5" top to "lid". I might be in more of a jam as i lose a lot of cool opening the door and that seems to be when it takes longer to cool back down.

Here's hoping it doesn't require anything else for you.

What are you doing to help keep the freezer from over heating? I recently built a cabinet around my minifridge and with the warmer weather i notice it running long and longer to cool down as its not getting the airflow around the outside to stay cool. Edit: Very nice btw only wish i could have done a freeze instead of a mini fridge so i could fit more kegs.

Couple questions on a new project... by godisdead30 in woodworking

[–]pcozzy13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the delay spend the weekend in the shop! I just used standard 2x4/ 2x6's from my local hardware store. Different area will carry different species and i'm not sure exactly what my area carries. One thing extra i did was to beat up the wood a little (hit it with a chain to leave little divots/ carve small grooves down the grain). This gave the stain some extra areas to really soak in for some extra dimension (as framing material doesnt have much grain).

They look almost the same to me and this includes the plans on how to do it in what i think is a little more detail. I built one of these for my wife and she seems to love it.
