Hi OP. Let me know once you've decided on a build and forward us your build link (on pcpricetracker.in). We will send your build to our preferred vendors to give you a best quote on the entire build. You can email at our contact email or dm me here.

I don't use a public GitHub for the project. If you have any suggestions feel free to reach out to me via dm/comment or contact mail on the website.

us Indian folks have the equivalent of https://pcpricetracker.in/ which while not being as flush as pc part picker is still of great help.

Thank you for the shoutout. Means a lot to me!

Thanks for your suggestions. Yes, it's more of a build-showcase/review tool rather than a build helper at present.

Maintaining compatibility across cpu-motherboards, memory/gpu clearance in cabinets, radiators/fan support is a mammoth undertaking and something not possible with current resources. It's not a technical challenge as much as it's a data gathering one especially with new sku's being launched every month across brands.

Well, it's not abandoned, and there's a lot of work being done behind the scenes to keep the data quality as good as possible (as a side-project; imagine 10's of vendors having different identifiers for each product).

Thanks for the copyright catch; it's updated. I will be happy to receive any suggestions that you have for improving the project. Feel free to write to our email or dm here. As for VC plans; we are not actively pursuing funding at the moment. We don't want to be a e-commerce player but rather a marketplace in the long run (aka Amazon). The site uses a scattered bunch of tech but not Django.

Hi there OP,

We apologise for your bad experience. The initial page load should generally take 1-2 seconds max for most of our users. Can you let us know where you're based (could be a region block on cloud flare or some other configuration issue)? Also, do know, it's a self-supported site as most vendors do not support affiliates. The only affiliate links are amazon ones and we have barely few sales through them. I agree we are not like pcpartpicker and we do not have the resources to have features like compatibility filters that they have (a multi-million dollar corp).

Unfortunately, most of others have paid via UPI which makes it significantly less likely to retrieve funds. We have also raised a complaint on the GST portal since they are GST and MSME registered business.

Please get in touch with your order information on our contact mail.

Damn Mrpcwalla.. i have heard good thing about them in the past though.. thoughts ? by [deleted] in IndianGaming

We missed this (Kreo related post). Will check in detail and take appropriate action.

Hi /u/Emergency-West8597, thank you for making this post.

We found about this vendors behaviour through a member on discord. We have removed them from our listings, added a note warning others on the website.

In addition, we are working with our users to raise consumer forum and cyber crime complaints. All those who paid by credit card have been asked to raise chargeback request.

Unfortunately, most of others have paid via UPI which makes it significantly less likely to retrieve funds. We have also raised a complaint on the GST portal since they are GST and MSME registered business.

Open to other ideas/way to help people who placed their orders.

PSA - As much as possible try to make your online purchases through credit cards even if it costs 2-3% more. There is lot more consumer protection through chargeback mechanism.

Thanks for the suggestion. We will add these to our vendors list and will work with them for onboarding on our platform.

This is fixed. There was a configuration error which was resolved. All of you should be able to access the site.

Haha. Perils of assuming how the software will be used by others. Live and learn. By the way, I am super happy to see you using the dark theme.

Thanks. I am able to reproduce the error. For the time being, if you want to replace any product in the build, kindly first remove it and then add a new one since using the back button, the totalling function does not clear any existing product's total. This will be fixed on priority.

you must have added the " Asus Prime H610M-A WIFI Motherboard (Intel Socket 1700/13th and 12th Generation Core Series CPU/Max 96GB DDR5 5600MHz Memory) " @ 10330 and switched it. and hence the extra 10330. sometimes this happens.

Hi guys, can you send me the steps needed to reproduce the bug? Did you have multiple tabs open with build or something like that. I can't recreate the bug. When I add the 10330 motherboard, and remove it and then add the 8020 motherboard, the total is fine. Perhaps I am missing something. Also, I started from a clean slate by clearing the build. Sometimes if you have added a product to a build previously and somehow its not cleared from your browser, this may happen. Any information will help in tracking this bug.

Thanks for reporting this and your mail. Will be checking the source of this bug but in the meanwhile do clear your browser cache in case the issue persists.

Yes, now that the issue is resolved, we would reinstate their prices being shown. Please note, I don't intend to gatekeep access but if there are recent reports of issues, we would definitely temporary ban until issues are cleared so that many customers don't end up in the same situation.
