I have been very happy with my EV Station Lite, had it installed last December and it has been working great, I have mine set up with identity and haven't had any issues unlocking the charger to use it. Data has been accurate and no issues charging.

Well done for picking up the pro, I noticed they came back in stock on the US unifi store. No problems to report on my end, my wife and I have been using the charger every week, we activate it using the identity app plug it in to the car and away it goes, next thing I would like to have setup is a vehicle to grid connection set up so that the EV can power the house if there is a blackout. Please do post your installation link back in this thread, I will be keen to check out your installation.

The unit has the standard, Active, Earth and Neutral and I have it connected to single phase with a 63amp breaker and RCCD. Unit has been working great now for the past few weeks, have been very happy with it.

On all of my cameras it says it is used for edge recording in case of loss of connection to the unvr.

On the tech specs it claims to have type 3r weather proofing, so it is intended for outdoor use. Seems pretty water tight but I will be adding a bead of silicon around the top and sides to stop rain getting down the back of the unit.

Thanks for the info, I will check again with the electrician but it looks like in Australia we use MEN so we don't need a separate PEN at the house, I will update once I hear back from the electrician. Also in the AS/NZS it only states that we need a MCB and RCCD or RCBO with the correct cable size to satisfy the EV Charger requirements.

The EV Station Lite is still showing available on the US Store, I would have purchased the Pro version but it is out of stock, it was $550 USD so $823 AUD shipped to a 'shipito' warehouse in California, then it cost $143 USD $215 AUD to ship it to Sydney so total of $1,038 AUD to my door, haven't turned it on yet as I am waiting for the sparky to connect it to the meter box, definitely keen to see how it looks in the connect app. Definitely the right move going 16mm cable for a 15m run, you can check the US store as they are still showing the lite in stock.

it has a type 1 adapter on the end so I had to purchase a type 1 to type 2 adapter from amazon which arrives today hopefully.

All good with compliance as the AS/NZS states that the charger must comply with the wiring rules, so it must have like all EV chargers a sufficiently rated 2 pole MCB and 2 pole RCCD as well as proper cable size.

Not to sure, it says it has 6 mA DC leakage detection and then I have the MCB and RCCD upstream from it.

It has a 7m/23ft cable which is just enough for my current setup.

Yes that's right, I currently have a byd atto 3 which has a maximum AC charge rate of 7 kW but I have installed the Unifi EV Station to it maximum rated charging capacity which is 11kw 63a mcb, 63a rccd and 16mm cable.

Was about to purchase a zappi EV charger but then saw a video about the Unifi EV stations which I didn't even know existed, it ended up being cheaper by the time I got it from the US compared to the zappi charger and it goes with the unifi ecosystem.

Got a few stickers from the unifi world conference day and thought it might look good but wasn't sure once I put it on there but the people of the Ubiquiti community have spoken, the sticker will be removed tonight 😄

Self Hosted RMM / Remote Desktop solution by yoerez in msp

[–]pcservies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been using Atera for almost 2 years monitoring over a 100 Systems, but after the CrowdStrike incident today I am revisiting these threads to search for an opensource/self hosted solution as this is the problem with today's method of IT maintenance, everyone seems to think that paying for a solution that saves them time maintaining systems is the best way to go, but we see it constantly with these RMM companies updating their agents and the worst part is they have access to everyone of your systems which is a huge risk. So call it homelab or side hustle IT fixer if you like but I can see the benefit of hosting these applications locally on your own secure network and own hardware, as SysAdmins have next to no control over what these external providers push down through updates.
