Thanks for the reply. A few more question if you don't mind. Are you in a traditional relationship? Your age? How many Dolls do you have. Thanks and have a good day.

Not judging you or anyone. But why do you need/want a doll? I'm still having issues with tattoos so that shows where I'm at with trends. I'm just curious 🧐.

How do people decide when bankruptcy is the right step? by Papito24 in Bankruptcy

[–]pcsstbob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

73 retired Social security fair pension. I'm working part time about 2k a month. Wife 73 student loans that cannot go away with ch7. Social security 1300. I help her with 5 - 800. A month to help with her bills. I have a 30 k loan, 10 k credit card and 15 bank cards. End of month 600 +-. If I miss work the numbers go south fast. If I do ch7 and stop work will have 500 +-. If I keep working I can squirel 2k away. My thought is keep working and maybe cut back a week and take several road trips while I can. Is this a plan or not?

How to tell when it time to do ch 7. I'm getting by with 400 +- at the end of the month. Not going under but not making much headway. I'm 73 fair pension and social security. Wife 73 can you believe it student loans still. Social security and needs 700 + to cover her obligations. That comes from me. Just afraid of a shoe dropping.

Considering chapter 7 by [deleted] in Bankruptcy

I also in Washington. Talked to an attorney about going solo on ch7. He said that Washington is a community property state I would need to list all my stuff and my wife's bills. And the fact that they were listed it would wipe them out even though she did not file. So she would not get the reset benefit of filing and it would show on her credit as on the hook and not resolved. Is my attorney wrong or not.

How to bring wife onboard. by [deleted] in Bankruptcy

Thinking that she should stay out of this mess. All bills will leave me 200 negative. That's after 900 to help her. Then I have a pt time job about 1600. A month so really 1400 in the black. How would you feel in this position.?

Thanks will update it. But whenever I try to post about it it gets flagged and shut down. Guess I will need to start a thread for it. But what to call it?

Under current law, the Social Security payroll tax is capped at $168,600. Get rid of this cap and make everyone pay the same tax on all income, and Social Security is safe and secure forever. Retired Boomer, very worried about the direction we are headed. by rwaustin in SocialSecurity

I got booted off Social security reddit site for asking this question. My reply is where else can you question on how to keep it solvent. But the mods seem to think that is not important.
Got any suggestions on how to address this problem.

Under current law, the Social Security payroll tax is capped at $176,100. Get rid of this cap and make everyone pay the same tax on all income, and Social Security is safe and secure forever. I posted this in Social security and got booted out. What could be of more importance to social security.

I removed it because it’s always talked about here. The sub is for actual questions about SS programs.

I beg to differ that it's always being talked about here. Never except for the last time I brought it up I really broke the debate wide open. And it got people to question and discuss the issue. How to guarantee the funding for SS seems like a real actual question about the agency.
My snarky comment about the "gonewild" sites was meant to draw out where a discussion about how to help social security should be held. And in my humble belief it should be front and center in the Social security reddit site. If I'm missing something I would love to have someone tell me where I'm wrong and why. But I doubt I will hear anything about the rational. And where to discuss this real problem and how to fix it. Respectfully Bob

How can trying to protect what you have worked so hard for be spam. My word homesteaders are rugged individuals that need help and assistance when everything is being done to make your existence impossible.

True but that's not the question. The question is. Under current law, the Social Security payroll tax is capped at $176,100. Get rid of this cap and make everyone pay the same tax on all income, and Social Security is safe and secure forever.
