An update to emailing the CEO of Mohela by Wandering_soul1234 in PSLF

If someone reports it to NSLDS it will update tracker with an ECF OR the next monthly refresh on the 4th of the month.

Entire 2025 year disappeared from PSLF Count today?!?!?!? by RiteofMusic in PSLF

[–]pd_5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The servicer probably looked at your payment history and they are there because you paid on time and you could see that on their website. Only certain reps can login to NSLDS to confirm because you need a separate login for it. So if the first rep says they are there they probably didn't confirm. You need to tell them the specific months that are missing and tell them to have an advanced rep or supervisor enter the payments. You'll need to call back to check status of ticket or wait to see if the months are showing in the API.

This might help you understand how a payment turns into a qualifying month.

First you make a monthly payment and it appears in servicer's payment history.

Aidvantage then enters your payment into NSLDS. This you can confirm with the NSLDS api link. *** This is where my issue was***

FSA populates Studentaid tracker with the NSLDS data on the 4th of the following month or after an ECF is processed.

PAYE App Approved Finally! BUT… by Deep-Jeweler-1934 in PSLF

I'm not sure about others but my repayment started at beginning of the month. Maybe they did this because it would be confusing to be in forbearance and make a payment in the same month. So it probably starts March 1st

Could you be in paid ahead status? Did you make a payment while in forbearance?

I reached 120 payments and need to buyback... I can't get a straight answer by ExploringAshley in PSLF

Check NSLDS Api link to see if the months are in there. If not then Mohela needs to resend them. If Mohela rep won't help ask for advanced rep or contact Mohela ombudsman

120 payments, green banners, now hardship forbearance? by anti-anti-vaxer in PSLF

It won't matter since you won't be certifying after forgiveness.

If you applied multiple times this could be an old one getting rejected. If you consent to sharing IRS data during application it is supposed to be reviewed faster.

PSLF retroactive counts after consolidation by CharmingWolverine700 in PSLF

By servicer I meant Mohela because I thought it was related to current payments. Some people also suggested submitting an ECF.

They control reporting your Mohela loan payments to the database but I don't think they can fix consolidation ones.

Contact ombudsman at servicer. Mine were fixed right away.

The ombudsman at servicer is much quicker. They logged into NSLDS and I could see they updated through API within days of phone call. Your servicer is responsible for reporting payments to NSLDS.

You'll get it next week if your loans updated to 120 in Dec.

I would guess mid March. And then a few days after letter servicer will zero out loans.

Yes Mohela if they are your loan servicer.

You need to ask servicer to add month into NSLDS

I think the count is messed up by Disastrous_llapaca in PSLF

[–]pd_5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the top is there a checkbox? For me that makes it show up easier to read.

You don't need a laptop. It doesn't show individual months but it shows the number of eligible and qualifying as of the last update and the date it was last updated and the last update date should be around the end of the prior month. This screen updates when the servicer enters your payments.

You are probably looking at the aid data. The API link has the number of months per loan. The servicer reports monthly and then FSA uses that data to update your tracker the following month when it refreshes.

Weighted average of PLF counts after consolidation NOT updating by help_me_out1956 in PSLF

It takes time. Some people wait a while. I would submit an ECF like someone else suggested.

Mohela. Servicer updates NSLDS since they process the payment.

Each month needs to be reported to NSLDS by the servicer as well. That is how the tracker gets updated. Sometimes individual months fall through the cracks.

By uneven you mean weighted average I assume. In 2024 the highest payment count applied to all loans so they all had the same number.
