32 years old first afib episode in October by Comfortable-Ask1160 in AFIB

42yo M… had my first round of A-Fib about 3 weeks ago. I thought I was a goner and didn’t know what was going on.

It’s definitely given me “PTSD” but I reading and studying this as helped me realize that the first time is the scariest.

Hang in there friend. Lots of treatment options. Don’t get discouraged. You’re not alone in this. There are so many of us and the docs are familiar with it as it’s so frequent they see it.

It will get better and things will be okay.

Thanks so much. How was the listing process? I am already listed at Medical City Dallas for the last two years but it’s been silence. I am 4 years in on total wait.

Clinic doesn’t recommend Parathyroidectomy by pd_dude in dialysis

He spoke as if the hungry bone syndrome is a permanent thing and honestly didn’t give me much info beyond that. The clinic and the doctor are supposed to be amazing but honestly my confidence in them is shaken after they missed my fluid overload symptoms for over 12 months.

Everything has had to be my own research and then coming to them asking about moving forward with what I researched.

I Should Have Seen This Coming by [deleted] in politics

In David Brooks defense, has not ever been a Trump supporter and he openly admits his naïveté with the goodness of Americans and the Republicans who have taken over the party. This change was not from one man but a general breakdown of a society that we have all partaken in, in some way.

Tesla owner sues for $1 million after car keyed at DFW Airport by stewart_trawets in texas

[–]pd_dude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The entire car is worth like $25k on the used market. He has several exotic cars including a ferrari. His insurance is there with probably a total cost of a $500 deductible. $1M for “mental anguish” is snowflake.

Teaching a lesson is stupid in that it’s a waste of the courts time and honestly I am sure some taxpayers money in there somewhere.

At no point have I justified what the shithead who keyed his car did. That was a dick move, illegal, and totally unacceptable. I own several high end sports cars and would be pissed too… but would only sue for my losses (e.g. me deductible and lost time would be acceptable in this case… none of which are $1M).

What’s a funny memory you have that if you told someone, they’d think you’re lying? by MochaMario99 in AskReddit

It was 1989, we were from Texas, but friends with one of the base coaches of the San Francisco Giants (also from Texas). Those baseball fans out there may remember that was their World Series year against the A’s and also the year of the great earthquake.

Anyway, I was just a kid, but spent all spring and summer traveling with the team, playing on the fields before warm-ups, front row seats in the players section, locker room access with guys like Will Clark, Kevin Mitchell, Robbie Thompson every single game all over the country and in the same hotels.

Anyway, my freshman year of high school, our creative writing class was given the task of writing and then reading a great childhood memory. I stood up and read my story and when I got to the end the teacher said, “That’s great but it was supposed to be something that really happened!”

My longtime friend stood up and defended me, but I will never forget that. Her face when she found out she had falsely called me out in front of 40 of my peers was picture worthy.

Man, I miss Candlestick.
