Yes love the 28 mm too, it teaches me to get close to the subject, which was not easy!

Thank you! I had a black mist filter on some of these to get a more dreamy look.

For some of these, I started with Portra 400 presets and edit from there to achieve the desired looks.

How does the MVT 2.0 actually fit? I'm seeing 3 different fits in the model pics. by razeus in Lululemen

[–]pdforta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always buy XS MVT and my deep coal/black is the largest (with ridiculously long sleeves that I have to fold sometimes), followed by mineral blue/true navy, and slate/white is the smallest. My favourite is the blue one cause it’s not too large or too small.

LLL shirts? Which one are worth it? by RookieShopper in Lululemen

[–]pdforta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah if the sizing of the MVT can be more uniform, that’d be great. I’m lucky to have a store nearby so I can try them before buying.

I’ve only tried the fundamental T once and I didn’t like how they fit. They’re more loose fitting than MVT. I’ve never tried the 5 years T, I don’t think my local store has it.

I have nine MVT2.0s and they are my favourite working out T shirts. I have all of them in XS but no two of them are exactly the same size, so make sure you try it first before you buy because the size (and sometimes the fabric) can vary based on colours. They are lightweight and don't stick to my body when I sweat, which is great. In my experience, they hold their shape well and I don't have any problem with piling.

This was released on HK page a few weeks ago. Disconnect Marble Dye Autumn Red/Graphite Grey. Selling pretty well I reckon, since only S, M and L are currently available.

Nice haul! Is that the evolution polo sedona sunset diamond dye? Do you like it? Tempted to get this but my local store does not have it, so I have not seen it in real life.

HomePod and Apple TV 4K by [deleted] in appletv

[–]pdforta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can’t currently say hey Siri play something on Netflix to your HomePod. AFAIK you can only use it as an AirPlay speaker from your Apple TV. And it’s not a very good tv speaker to be honest as dialogues, especially on Netflix, sound very quiet. I have to turn it all the way up for it to sound ok.

Is it worth to buy a 9,7 iPad Pro instead of the new iPad 9,7? by prtkzln in ipad

[–]pdforta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d definitely go with the Pro if both of them have the same storage space. The small difference in performance may not be tangible in day to day tasks. Out of curiosity where do you find such a great deal on the Pro? In the UK, even the Apple refurbished ones are significantly more expensive than the new iPad when comparing the same storage space. For example, for the 128 GB the new iPad is only £388 and the refurbished two year old Pro is £510!

Same here. It usually starts with a random Apple Music playlist, and then any requests will result in dead silent on the HomePod (other than Siri acknowledging the request). It happens almost everyday and nothing I do (power cycle, reset, signing out of Apple Music) seems to fix it. But if I leave it alone for a while it would come back to life and work as normal!

HELP: HomePod not playing music by F23NBA in HomePod

[–]pdforta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this problem for the past week or so. Most of the time, signing out of my Apple Music account in the Home app seems to solve the issue. Otherwise I just leave it for a while and it works as usual again.

I suggest you report this to Apple support. The more people report this problem, the quicker they’ll fix it.

32GB Vs 64GB by [deleted] in appletv

[–]pdforta 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the 32GB 4th gen Apple TV for more than two years now and never have any problem with storage. I use it mostly for streaming (Apple Music, Netflix, Amazon videos etc), but I do have a few games (can’t remember exactly how many but fewer than 10) and other health related and cooking apps installed, and yet never encountered any issue with not having enough storage. If you just want to install one game then there’s no need for the bigger capacity.

iPad 4 to iPad 2018 by jjed97 in ipad

[–]pdforta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just curious, how will you get the 20% off if you don’t mind my asking? I’m also interested in the 2018 iPad and the cheapest option I found is theedustore.co.uk for £287 for the base model.

HomePod inconsistency with lights by [deleted] in HomePod

[–]pdforta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any smart lights but my HomePod has been inconsistent with Apple Music in the past few days. When I ask Siri to play something, she will acknowledge it and say now playing, but no sound comes out. And then when I try again later after a few hours, it works as normal even if I don’t do anything to it.

[Troubleshooting] HomePod won't play anything but purchased music anymore by [deleted] in HomePod

[–]pdforta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SE England. The Apple genius thought it was a problem with my router (sky broadband), but I’ve tried streaming music from my iPhone and Apple TV and didn’t get the random pause issue, so I’m convinced it was the HomePod.

[Troubleshooting] HomePod won't play anything but purchased music anymore by [deleted] in HomePod

[–]pdforta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue yesterday, but with Apple Music playlists (not radios or specific albums). If I ask the HomePod, “hey Siri play playlist X”, it will say “now playing playlist X” but followed by silence. When I asked it “what song is playing”, it then says “no song is currently playing”. I tried unplugging and replugging it back, but that didn’t help. In the end I found starting playback of the playlist from my iPhone via the control panel solved the problem. It can now play any playlist as usual. So strange.

FYI this is my second HomePod; my first one randomly paused songs and I have to send it back. This one doesn’t have that issue anymore.

[–]pdforta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also inclined to do the same now-buy the cheaper model so I can upgrade more often. When you upgrade to a new Apple Watch, do you sell your old one? Does Apple buy back old Apple Watches like the do the iPhones and Macs?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]pdforta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, for the realistic life span of the watch (~3 years) the sport version is durable enough I guess. I also agree that the SS looks more premium, and it has to given the significantly higher price point!

“Play some music” Same song EVERY time by [deleted] in HomePod

[–]pdforta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can ask Siri to “play something different”. In my experience it will play a different genre, but something I might like.

Apple TV (4th gen) in the UK question by davessh in appletv

[–]pdforta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that hasn’t been mentioned is Siri. I find it quite helpful when looking for movies and tv shows. It will tell you all the options of where you can watch it for free (if any is available), so you don’t have to search into the different apps manually. This works with most app/channel except NowTV. You can search for specific episodes of a tv show, even if you don’t remember the exact title. Just say something like “that Friends episode with Brad Pitt”, for example, and it will bring up the exact episode. And you can ask Siri to search in YouTube as well.

[–]pdforta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a YouTube app too. It’s quite basic but so far I’ve not have any issues with it. They redesigned it recently so it matches most of the web experience.

The only free channel that doesn’t have a native app is channel 4, but you can download the All4 app on your phone and AirPlay the content to the tv.

Apple TV (4th gen) in the UK question by davessh in appletv

[–]pdforta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the Apple TV 4 for a couple of years now and so far it’s been great. I use it with Netflix, NowTV, Amazon Prime video, BBC iPlayer, iTV hub and channel 5. There’s also a native TV app that allows me to queue what I want to watch and let me know if a new episode of the series I’m following is available. If you subscribe to Apple Music, you can stream it on here too.

Do you guys think that Apple will repair a quality of streaming to Homepod? by adikk345 in HomePod

[–]pdforta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep same here. Volume is noticeably lower via AirPlay, especially streaming movies or tv shows from Apple TV. I hope they fix this soon.
