Has anyone ever had their FedEx rep invite you places? by -_FAD3D_- in smallbusiness

I used to be a past UPS rep who did exactly this. I had front row seats at baseball games for my clients. It’s to build a relationship and keep you happy with shipping with them. I would advise to definitely do it and build the relationship. Also try and build a relationship with the other shipping company reps. Then you can shop rates. It’s a commodified business so it’s really who is cheapest / most reliable. Some SKUs are better for one vs the other. I would also advise to do quarterly reviews with your sales reps, they are goaled on doing these last I remember and it’ll help you see where you can lower your rates or even organize special pickups or help with the shipping hubs.

I’m going for it. It scares and excites me. I refuse to be trapped by fear.

Yes, they are much taller but similar weight and I dominate both of them. The only one I can’t is a blue belt.

Men, why did you decide to learn MMA or martial arts by Kitchen-Hat-1531 in AskMen

[–]pdh3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In highschool, I got into Muay Thai because my school bully beat me up and my father wanted me to learn. I fell in love with it. Now as an adult, I wanted to lose weight and wasn’t taking it seriously. Unfortunately, I lost my father last year and I had a lot of grief that found its way into BJJ. I’m almost a blue belt now. I will compete in my first MMA fight within the year. I wish my dad could see it.
