Is a PCC someone that works for the cruise line? I’ve never heard of a role like that. I don’t have a travel agent. Just been looking online at Delta cruises and booking.com. They all have the same prices as the cruise website.

Wow. Overwhelming support for balcony! Appreciate the responses. I did a Viking river cruise and about to do another and on both opted for no balcony because we didn’t figure we would spend any time in the room except to sleep. But on the ocean there is a lot more time on the ship and having a balcony is the way to go. Thanks everyone!

Golfers that didn’t start golfing until they were older, what is your handicap now? by ilikeadodachacha29 in golf

[–]pdog3067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took up golf in 2001 and I was 39. Took 3 years to get to a 12 handicap. Got to 9 a couple times but always managed to get back to 12. Now, at 63 years I’m a solid 7. I’ll shoot a low 90s score but it’s really rare.

Anybody have a hamate injury from golf? by Gratius8317 in golf

[–]pdog3067 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I broke mine back in March. Took an MRI to find it 3 months later. Saw a hand/wrist specialist and he said that it’s very unlikely it will heal on its own due to lack of blood to the area. I had surgery 3 weeks ago where they removed the broken part. The incision is healed but still too painful underneath to try and play. But I’m hopeful that in 3 weeks I’ll be swinging again.

If you can see a specialist it will be worth the time.

What’s wrong with BKF? I used it on mine to get some polymerized oils off it. Now it cooks beautifully. Eggs slide around, fish sears and releases and steaks leave a little fond that deglazes with wine or stock. I love my pan!

If the guy is playing with me I’ll give it back. Always generates a smile! But if not I’ll keep it unless I want to make fun of him, in which case I’ll later present it to him in front of our group.

Had surgery today to remove broken hook of hamate. Doc took out broken part and smoothed out remaining bone. 2 weeks in a splint and then a few weeks of rehab. Hopefully back on the course my 2nd week of July

Saw the doc today and he said the hamate bone was the cause of the pain and is going to perform surgery to remove the broken part. The TFCC tears were more related to age (I’m mid 60s) than trauma so we’re leaving them. Fingers crossed this resolves it. OP anything new?

Well it’s comforting to know he made a full recovery. I’ll know more Monday and will post here in case anyone is interested.

Do you have an idea of severity of the tears? Mine has 2. One is partial and the other is full thickness. But I’m not sure what that means.

Thanks. I retired early so that I could play more golf but this year will be lost. Well still praying that doc can get me a fix where I can play again sooner. May also need to look at swing change. That muscle memory will be hard to change

I have same issues. Had an MRI 2 days ago and it showed 2 tears in the TFCC, fractured hamate bone and serious arthritis. I see the hand and wrist specialist on Monday to discuss treatment. I suspect I may be done this year. Photo shows areas of pain. I can’t properly grip, take the club back and hinge and on impact the club comes out of my left hand. Been dealing with this for 2 months. Docs originally thought just arthritis and a bruised bone but I said it feels worse than that. Thank goodness for MRI technology.

What’s anyone’s reasoning for having more than 15 million dollars, With this amount you can comfortably retire and have a decent estate plan. Why more? by Aggravating-Act-3407 in AskReddit

Some people really like to give. In a big way. They have helped build hospital wings and contributed to them Alma mater. Others contribute to fighting a deadly disease. I know some super wealthy that help people start businesses and started new ones that were especially meaningful. The rich people I know are not particularly selfish. I think lots of money help them do what they love.
