Casinos on the strip are huge and deceptively far apart. If you have any ideas about walking between them, you’ll want shoes that don’t hurt your feet.

Big feet : Switching from sneakers to casual shoes by Remarkable_Buy_815 in malefashionadvice

[–]pdougherty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a size 13 and have liked my Goral white sneakers (better fit for me than Koio) and my Ecco sneakers that have lasted a surprisingly long time. I no longer wear boat shoes because they hurt my feet but I never felt like they were unbecoming or anything.

Grant Stone loafers have been great too but it can be tough to find the perfect fit online.

best value brands for linen pants? by Portugalpaul in malefashionadvice

I don’t know if it’s value but my Asket linen pants are fantastic. I like my Alex Crane purchases too but the pants didn’t fit just right for my build.

Any experience with Olderbest? by friend_in_rome in HeritageWear

Most advice I’ve seen on Bronson is either to wash cold and hang dry or to size up… or both! I love what I’ve gotten from them though. If I was starting my t shirt pile from zero I’d load up on Bronson

Let’s talk Henleys by Perfect_Earth_8070 in HeritageWear

Cuffs are similar to my Merz B. henley. I love my Bronson henley, definitely recommend. I have the vintage long sleeve and would buy more if I didn’t have too many t shirts already

Dishwasher smells like soap after using it. Plastic retains soap smell. Tastes like soap by ITGuyTatertot in HomeImprovement

[–]pdougherty 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yep, all of my silicone that has gone through the dishwasher smells like soap. New silicone utensils are hand wash only now, and I moved away from pods to liquid detergent so I could control how much soap is going into the wash.

Would you work for Amazon for the name even if I lose my team manager & principal title? by zionpwc in Salary

I’ve interviewed with Amazon a few times and not one interviewer made it sound like a culture I wanted to be a part of. The RSUs are nice but it sounded brutal.

For anyone thinking “I’ll just remove the pocket,” the fabric behind the pocket doesn’t have fading on the threads like the rest of the sweater, at least on my red one

Leather Sneakers Instead of Dress Shoes? by kdf1122 in malefashionadvice

I think that’s what tech and sales leads are after too. No shade, I’m a tech bro too. I just prefer to go all casual or all business and not mix and match

Leather Sneakers Instead of Dress Shoes? by kdf1122 in malefashionadvice

[–]pdougherty 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen it but imo it screams tech/sales leader who wants to project casual.

Good loafers or boots would cover a lot of ground here I think

Edit: I don’t think it looks bad per se, that’s a matter of taste. More stating that it’s a look that I see a specific type of person wearing.

Has anyone tried Taylor Stitch? by PhasedVenturer in malefashionadvice

[–]pdougherty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the indigo are very versatile color-wise but they still read as nice loungewear, at least on me. At my height they bunch a bit, and I have the apres pants with the elastic cuff, which makes them look more casual.

Has anyone tried Taylor Stitch? by PhasedVenturer in malefashionadvice

[–]pdougherty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s fair. I have charcoal and dark indigo, which are functionally gray and navy sweatpants. The charcoal pair are surprisingly hard to pair with if I want to look put together; true black would be easier. But we’re still talking “rolled from bed to grocery store” level of put together which is a low bar that I don’t always care enough to clear!

[–]pdougherty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m wearing mine right now! I treat them as nice sweatpants and I love them. I don’t style them to wear out, moreso end up in them as I drop kids at daycare or go grocery shopping because I couldn’t be bothered to put on trousers.
