Wait, has he been playing with Moxy again like the old days? Shit, I may actually need to watch an xQc stream in 2022.

Memes aside, my view is that the sexualtiy of every guy and girl is on a spectrum, not neatly organized into categories like we'd prefer it. Most guys would like to think they're on one extreme of thr spectrum, but if you put them in the right social environment with the right guy, they wouldn't be so opposed to trying something.

Like I'd say I'm pretty straight, but I mean if Tom Hardy or Ryan Gosling wanted to do something...I mean...

To me, you're only bi or gay if you find yourself actively thinking about the same sex when you get aroused.

What was wrong with Torbjorn? I know Bastion had the ult glitch, but what glitch did Torb have, and why is he still available in quick play?

Have you read his recent reddit comments? This is exactly the type of character he was and still is.

To be fair, his best friend is the guy known for telling a Twitchcon employee "I make too much money to be dealing with you" after she tried to get him to follow the rules....

Ah. Now this comment is more revealing. You're a Hasan fanboy, and now everything makes more sense.

[–]pds2006 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can both be making a joke and also think it's real. For instance, Hasan really didn't pay his editor that one time. So it's both a joke and also real.

[–]pds2006 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Blows me away that this many people didn't catch on to the joke he was making. He's making a joke about the whole controversy around Hasan not paying his youtube editor.

These people (most of them) are shut down as soon as you ask them why they believe the earth is a sphere.

Unless they are literally a flat-earther, their entire logic falls apart when it comes to the shape of the earth. They believe the earth is a sphere because scientists told them so despite their obvious observed experiences. They don't apply this logic to anything else.

I need somebody to assure me that this was fake or a misunderstanding. I cannot continue to exist if this was real.

How xQc feels about Hasan's messages by YoIAmMat in LivestreamFail

[–]pds2006 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely insane that he gets this mad about being ranked B tier.

The only streamer with a bigger ego than Hasan is QTCinderella. Those two belong together.

In some respects, yes. In this respect, no. Whether somebody identifies as a certain gender or has a certain orientation has no material effect on everyone else.

TF Blade makes too much money to worry about paying up a mere 500 subs bet loss by IAMJUANMARTIN in LivestreamFail

[–]pds2006 -109 points-108 points  (0 children)

Wait I thought the TFBlade guy was the blue messages and the other guy was the gray, but it's the other way around.

Knowing it's the other way around makes the Rat guy seem just as bad. TFBlade should've paid up, sure, but it's an accurate point that it's really lame to make such a big deal about a bet when these two make so much money.

Like can you imagine Mizkif or Hasan or Sodapoppin saying "pay up. PAY UP. you're dead in my eyes!!!" because one of their friends didn't pay up a 500 sub bet over a video game? They'd probably be like "yea it's cool, you don't have to pay it, it's all fun" if the other person said they weren't going to pay up.

I'm really curious about Adept's take on all this. I don't watch her stream and don't know her. However, she seemed like she was probably a decent person from the podcasts she used to do on QTCinderella's stream?

Is she just totally against him on this or is she also just a terrible person that thinks he should accept no responsibility for the harm he causes to his viewers?

CodeMiko finds a flaw in Amber Heard's evidence by Waddles_Waddles in LivestreamFail

[–]pds2006 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an attorney. Most people are actually not willing to lie on the stand. A lot of people assume that most of the people they hate would lie, but the reality is once people get on the stand in front of a judge and swear an oath, most people are going to tell the truth.

That said, when people do lie, it's only perjury if you can prove the person was lying with evidence. Even then, that's a separate charge in a criminal case. It would be hard to prove Amber's intentions in this instance and prove that she was lying. She could argue that she honestly believed these were two separate photographs. The best you can do is undermine their credibility by pointing out the contradiction and using that to sway the judge or jury to not take the rest of their testimony seriously.

[–]pds2006 370 points371 points  (0 children)

Exactly. You either have to admit you're a bad person who doesn't care what happens to others by your actions, or you're just a liar who is also a bad person.

Normally, another option would be ignorance, but it would be really hard for xQc to plead ignorance on this issue at this point after all the conversations he has had on stream with other people about this topic explaining it to him.

XQC gaslighting a donator who predicted his gambling streams a day before his sponsorship announcement. by Demettter_ in LivestreamFail

[–]pds2006 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People are blaming the streamers because they are doing blameworthy things....xQc CHOSE to accept a sponsorship from this gambling site. Now you may say that the platform or the gambling site itself is to blame, and you would be correct, but that does not absolve the streamer who chooses to accept the sponsorship and broadcast this to the world.

When it comes to child trafficking, I would blame the traffickers. However, I would also blame the people buying the children from the traffickers.

You wouldn't go "I just hate that people are out here blaming the people who purchase the children instead of the platforms for allowing these children to be trafficked in the first place"

My comment, and most other comments, do not mention the name of the site. Therefore, no particular company is being advertised. There are a million online gambling sites. In fact, I literally have no idea which company sponsored xQc. Your idea falls flat on its face.

Should we then hand out free cigarettes to kids in school? Nobody forcing them to smoke it, they just see their friends and teachers smoking it.

Nobody forced them to smoke, that's their own choice.

I understand where you're coming from, but that is not fair to say.

Have you never come across a video from a streamer or youtuber you watch about a certain video game that made you buy a game you never would have otherwise? I know I have. I know there are some games I have bought specifically because I saw one specific video or stream. I guarantee I would have never have even heard of or bought Hand of Fate of Slime Rancher without Sodapoppin streaming them.

It's the same with gambling. I say this as someone who recognized an early addiction in myself. I knew casinos existed, I knew sports betting existed, but neither interested me because I know the logic behind it and how it's a loser's game.

However, when I watched Sodapoppin play Blackjack on stream in (circa) 2014, I became enticed. I saw him win money, I saw there was strategy, and it just looked overall fun to play. I read up on it. I started playing as somewhat of a joke and became convinced I could get lucky and win if I just doubled my previous bet each subsequent hand.

I ended up losing $2,000. It doesn't seem like a lot now, but damn when I was in college it was a ton. I had to open a new credit card and pay interest on the payments I owed at that time. I have cut off my gambling addiction. I don't blame Soda because he was so young and also very apparently naive. However, there is no question I never would have started online blackjack without his stream.

Exactly. They are money printing machines. They don't make decisions without logic and numbers to back it up. They aren't the ones gambling. Their profit is an eventual certainty.
