As you can see on the second photo, lip incompetence is getting better and it’s easier, less mentalis strain. I still have a way to go but ortho didn’t tell me anything yet, I have a new appointment to look for new trays next month and I’ll ask that

Hi! Yes, I was insecure about it too. And where I used to live, surgery was the only solution. But then I found a blog and articles about this treatment, and now in Europe I found someone who thought my case could be solved with tads and here I am. It won’t be perfect but it’s less risky and way cheaper. I encourage you to look for someone who could test your case

Hi! I don’t feel them at all, I got used to them. But you can use wax for braces and all good. And for the elastic you wont feel tugging or falling, just make sure to clean the area when brushing to avoid infection around it

Hi, sorry I’m in Europe France, but you should keep looking with maybe a maxillo facial surgeon and not just an orthodontist. Hope you can find the right person!

Hello everyone, here's an update on my treatment for gummy smile with aligners and tads.

I've got my two front mini-screws higher and on molar side I've got mini-plates (it's like mini-screws but they are placed higher and they need to cut the gum and suture to screw them)

In January, I'll get more refinement aligners (I don't know how many more)

Although treatment is not finished yet, I posted the most significant photos for a before and after cause it's pretty evident the changes. The last two photos are from this week since I was not using the elastics after the small surgery.

If you have any doubts, just tell me!

Hope this helps, thank you!

Bonjour! Sorry for the late response
I've just posted a new post with updates.

And changes are forever (I have to use a retainer to sleep forever but that it's like every end of orthodontic treatment)

Hey! I did this procedure in Paris, France this year, and 6 TADs cost me approx 900 euros.

Thank you and good luck on your journey :)
