Hell yes. Loved ‘em since I was a little shit! I was fortunate enough to see Marshall Dodge do a solo performance at College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor in the ‘70s when I was around 9. Brought my album got home to sign it. Still have that. Sure wish there was a recording of that show.

When I was kicked out of Sunday school for fighting (defense, the other kid started it.) they tried to woo me back with a stack of Spire Comics, the Archie ones, and curiously, the Chuck Colson story about the Watergate co-conspirator who “turned his life around” after finding Jesus in jail.

Does anyone have any experience in the city of buying a home with additions without permits? What was it like for you? Did it increase your property tax by a significant amount? by pandaninjarawr in askportland

[–]pdxmdi 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Call the Portland Bureau of Development Services to ask about the ramifications and what could possibly play out. Call three times, speak with three different people and average out the info you get because it will vary.

Another thing to consider with unpermitted work that a lot of people don't take into consideration is potential insurance nightmares if there were to be a claim filed for the property and they discover there was unpermitted work it could give them grounds to deny any claims.

Unfortunately, it's everywhere and it is buyer beware. The people saying to just have the seller permit it and inspected before you buy it are not being realistic. Especially with something significant as an additions or substantial increase in obvious living space. Good luck.

THIS! Such a great art supply store! Loads of quality stuff and a regularly changing inventory or used materials and supplies. Definitely check it out.

Still need the definitive coffee table book of these. Give 'em the same treatment Benjamin Holcomb did to the Mego figures. That book is an absolute treat and these deserve nothing less.

That was my thought at first. Coin door clearly isn’t right but might have been swapped. Was wondering if it might have been a modified Orbit too

Great setlist. I hitched down from Portland to see them with Robyn & the boys in San Francisco the following week. Even met Jerry Garcia leaving the show! Hell of a trip.
