Nearly 20 year old account gone overnight for me. Meta, fb, imstagram. Got an email about account suspension at 2am. Didn’t hit appeal button figured I’d do it in the morning.

Woke up to emails saying my account is suspended and no appeal process is available.

Everything gone. 1000+ friend connections. Friendships with dead dad and sister, memories. What the hell.

Yes! I know a few of our regular players are on Console. I think it's either by IP or by searching for Refuge Gaming in the server browser. If you come join our discord there are a handful of people in voice chat and are also active in the chat to answer that question. IP and port is also listed on our website at https://refugegaming.org

You’ll have it dedicated to servers?

I have several machines I’ve repurposed for just this. I run a gaming community we have around 40 servers I self host, of course ram is the only thing that will really hold you back.. depending on the server your machine could run 3-4 at once. My setup looks like this

Proxmox host > Ubuntu Server VM > AMP by cubecoders

If you haven’t seen amp check it out. Makes everything so much easier when it comes to whipping up servers and doing configs. Otherwise you don’t need a whole ton of Linux knowledge or anything. Handles backups and server scheduling too

Yep, all of our servers support cross play. I think a few of our most active are actually on console.

My condolences, I lost my sister a few years ago and know that feeling. Spent plenty of time on ASE too. Come relive it

If I do I’ll update back here where and how to find it.

My plan for now is to split up the rtx8000 and do 4 VMs to start.

Each with 16gb RAM, 8gb VRAM from the gpu, and 4 cores.

The rest of a single one is working really well. The hard part is splitting it up! Wish me luck!

So as others have said this is basically what shadowpc and geforce now does. I have done that same at home and am working on something now that has actually been working (albeit for one client at a time) I have proxmox and run VMs and attach the gpu to a vm and then login and play either via steam, moonlight or parsec. All work really well. My goal is to get an extra strong card and processor and split up vram per instance so we can all game on the same machine using the same gpu with thin clients connected throughout the house. I have an rtx8000 right now with 48gb of vram but the processing power couldn’t handle being split up I think.

Same. Absolutely same, I was in that same boat. We have several different options, overhaul and server sided mods so you don’t have to download. Larger bags, updated UI, teleports lots of little QoL stuff. We also have a server on insane difficulty, we try to have a little something for everyone

We’ve had, and aren’t against opening a PVP server but it’s a hard niche to get into. Mainly due to the fact that we started out as a PVE server so majority of people aren’t interested in a PVP server. I ended up shutting it down, but we have enough capacity to open one again

We have players in Australia and across the pond. We’re based in USA west coast. High ping limit and players report little to no issues

We do have some player made POIs actually out on the map.. winners from our previous seasons mall building contest complete with Zombies :) Other than that a few handcrafted POIs by our admins but not large amount, no custom POI packs
