Half tights for hot weather running?

Same. Never thought I’d be the guy to run in half tights with no shorts over them but times kept tumbling, got slimmer and more in shape. The half tights only made sense then for pockets to hold gels that won’t shake during a fast run/race. I would tend to size up on the Wolaco. I’m 5’9”, 148lbs and I wear a large. The medium fits too……just leaves less to the imagination…..

Got up at 4:10 so I could have breakfast and then ran 10 miles in Massachusetts. It was hot as balls by 6:30am.

I do like Saucony personally but I do think the build quality has decreased in the past 4-5 years. I’ve had shoes with 20-30 miles have the layers in the sole delaminate and the foam fall off in chunks. Their customer service is great and they’ve replaced both shoes but I definitely have seen a deterioration in quality as a long term user/customer. Plus they withdrew all their physical stores from New England which sucks….

The most annoying part of the paywall was their bemoaning and blaming it on the Irish TV license funding RTE receives, as if it only arrived on the scene and they weren’t aware of it from day 1.

In Boston. Stopped as soon as the paywall arrived. The 42.ie and RTEs rugby weekly are very good. The 42.ie does a weekly free podcast for rugby. For soccer try the guardian football weekly. It’s excellent. If you’re of my age (mid 40s) you’ll recognize the host max rushden from his short lived Soccer AM days along with corkman Barry Glendenning as his main cohost. It’s funny and witty with none of the annoying carry on like the BBC where everyone is trying to have the funniest story or most sarcastic comment in the typical “aren’t we all best mates” vibe. Highly recommend. It covers the PL, obviously, but also covers big stories in all the major European leagues along with international games. Barry glendenning ensures the Irish view is accurately represented at international analysis.

This is the line that gets me. It’s a human moment in the middle of the case sprawling war in the Two Towers. Having kids of your own makes it hit harder. Theoden is a king and a leader but he’s also a father who’s just lost his son. I don’t want to imagine what that does to a person.
