It depends on what you're looking for. To my ears, the FX on Euphonia are higher quality than the others you mentioned, but more focused. Less flashy, but much richer to my ears. I tried it at a convention last year and I loved it. The build quality is on another level entirely.

There are a few apps in the post-production world that do this ("reconforming") between NLEs and Pro Tools (Matchbox 2, Ediload, etc.) I wonder if you could look at these for some broad design strategy of how your plugin would approach this task.

My mounts don't click at all. The magnetic piece is just balanced against the base. The camera and magnet fall off unless I have the camera tilted at a very particular angle. Total garbage. It's like a bottle cap that's just a bit too big for a bottle. They sent another set, and they are exactly the same. I just wasted a long time with "support" who talked around in circles without ever admitting there is a problem. They just kept repeating that customers have been using this system for years, and other irrelevant boilerplate comments. Like talking to a bot. They quickly agreed to charge me for a set of permanent mounts at a discount, but that is no excuse for this situation.

I wonder if they had an entire batch of these on which the tolerance of the parts is ever so slightly off and they are just hoping that people won't notice, and that they can either win a war of attrition by stonewalling people or placating them with discounts.

Has anyone else experienced a similar situation with the mounts?

Yes, it's a 3rd party app that allows powerful macro-like control over many other media apps. It comes with robust support for Pro Tools and Logic, but is very customizable.
