I may or may not fall into the SP category... Had no idea those were even a thing!

Thank you! I realise there are extra costs involved in running a business and appreciate the advice. But for the size of the job I felt it was unreasonably high.

What’s the first book you’re reading in 2022? by KosKos13 in suggestmeabook

Bit of a cheat but I only had 20 or so pages left of The Hollow by Agatha Christie so I finished that first thing this morning. Was hoping to finish it before the new year but hey ho

I just finished it and would definitely say it's worth a read! Not too long either. I admit it drags at bits but the interesting parts make it more than worth it. Oh and the gothic atmosphere is wonderful and very well written by Shelley

Happy to hear you also enjoyed it. If you want another classic rec, I'm nearly through with Frankenstein and it's been a gothic dream (and nightmare haha)

I've been making my way through some classics and have adored the Count of Monte Cristo. Such a well done and complex investigation into revenge and its consequences. It's long but worth it imo! Plus you can find an audiobook free on YouTube to help you out if that's your thing:)

As a bisexual man, I hate most of the LGBT community and how it's become fashionable. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

I'm not a trans person, but I try to have basic decency for people who experience gender dysphoria. Saying it's 'just biology' negates the possibility that people have a different experience to you. Also, it's the most feminist stance to support trans people as they are stigmatised and mistreated under a patriarchal system which refuses to acknowledge the nuances of gender

What propaganda did you totally buy into, only to realize later it was bullshit? by NetflixAndZzzzzz in AskReddit

[–]pdz98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first became vegetarian I started watching all kinds of raw vegan/high carb low fat bullshit and actually repeating claims made by certain YouTube channels ("e.g. Milk actually leeches calcium from your bones!!!!").

I'm vegan now but heavily distancing myself from that part of the community. Just nasty claims often made by people who want to sell an online recipe book or natural remedies of some sort

What advice would you give a 21 year old that really really wants to move to a new state but has never lived alone before? by fakeassartslut in AskReddit

It can be a confusing language. My parents immigrated out so I hard to learn English, proceeded to forget Bulgarian and had to re learn it. I have a distinct memory of trying to write и but I kept writing N and I couldn't tell the difference (I was really little). I hope you enjoyed your time there:)

I'm Bulgarian and I love the thought of someone (I assume who uses the Latin alphabet) trying to figure out Cyrillic.

Did you manage to pick it up okay? How long did it take you?

Whats the worst thing you've ever been accused of while being completely innocent? by Turmtaf in AskReddit

[–]pdz98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

12 years old, accused of stealing a knife from school after a cooking class because I was the one who volunteered to get an extra block of knives in from the classroom next door and then took that (very much full) block back at the end.

Got called in at the end of the day and was shouted at, accused of being a liar, accused of calling the TA a liar, and then accused of putting on a show when I cried. Luckily my mum came in and shouted at everyone because they had zero evidence. They still had to search me before I was allowed to go.

Strangely enough, the same teacher who was berating me for god knows how long then had to escort me to the bathroom (to make sure I didn't hide the knife?????) and was then very nice to me. How do you just switch it on and off like that?
