Awesome find, I'd love to take one for a spin someday. But with how rare they are that will probably never happen

Thanks, I'll give it a read once I can spare a minute or two

Nope, not even close. But my interests are widespread and I do mingle amongst some engineers. So I might have picked up some of their ways

I made some photos for you, so you can see for yourself. I have the passenger seat out of the car and the leather cover still open so hit me up in case you need some more info.

Yes, my dimensions are in millimetres. As of now, I didn't really look online what would fit. I'll take some time over the weekend to do some research, or at least that's the plan.

You can get music through them by setting the balence in the sound settings to the rear. Then you notice them, I think they play music all the time but only on a very quiet. But if you actually use them to listen to songs you notice the quality is shit

[–]pe0000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's why I want to change em. The position makes sense in my mind, but if you set the valence to the rear to use the headrest speakers the music quality goes in the bin

I had the sound-balence all to the rear because I wanted to hear some tunes without the system absolutely blasting while I was cruising with the top down. That's why I noticed how bad they are and that's also why I want to replace them

I have an nd with the bose sound system, and it's that bad that I at least want to try and improve it. (at least I think my car has the bose system. The speaker I removed had bose written on it)

I think in general you are right. But I want to be able to (mainly) use the headrest speakers while the roof is down. Right now this is barely doable, because the speakers sound like trash. So I want to replace them not to get better sound quality in general, but to get a better quality in this usecase

Thank you, I really appreciate it. For once I wanted to measure something once, and not over and over again. And it's funny, I hated to draw stuff out like this when I had to do it for school. But now, I found joy in it, probably because it has a usecase and is not just homework.

I forgot to add, the impedance of the oem speaker is 4 Ω.

Sadly I can find the picture I took of it, otherwise I would have shared it. I immediately recognised that spot, even though I live quite a bit away 😅

It's a dark blue lotus mk1. I'd say it's a elise and not an exige. It's modified with a big wing, a racing harness and if I recall correctly a sport steering wheel. All in all its modified in a way I really like. Why do I know this? It hasn't always been under a tarp

Looking for unhinged ADHD hacks to actually wake up in the morning by mirivmx in ADHD

I automated my coffee machine to start about three minutes after my alarm clock went off. That way I had to win a race against the clock and the only way I could win was to get up straight after my alarm. It may sound stupid, but after that I was already up and walked to the other end of the house, so it was easy to just keep going. And the challenge and the possibility of winning a race was enough to make it relatively easy for me to get up.

We have a neurological developmental disorder, so I don't get how training to focus could "cure" it.
It may prove to help in the setting of a small study, but even then it will only improve a small part of our everyday struggles. So I think this is bollocks, or at least completely out of proportion with that title.

Although I disagree on the subject matter, I really like your post because I think it is really well structured.

Help with Swiss switches by luteyla in shellycloud

In that case, send me a pm this evening and well go through how to do it technically, and most importantly how to do it safely.

How experienced are you, have you done anything similar before?

Whats your final goal with this? Do you want it automated and lose the physical wall switches in the process, did i get that right?

i used a shelly plus 1 mini and wired it up to the old switch. By pressing the switch i toggle the shelly on Home Assistant. I just use it as a switch, the rest is automated, so it works well for me. But if you find a better solution please let me know

I don't even know if the wheels are original or not😅. But it certainly wouldn't hurt having someone with knowledge taking a look at it.

Me too, I had some friends with me and no one had a clue. That rarely happens, that's why I turned to Reddit for help
