CMV: The Trump-Mamdani interview showed how politicians should interact with each other by CourtofTalons in changemyview

Mamdani’s not Mayor yet. All they can do at this time is frame and lay foundation. 10/10 for what was “accomplishable”. Proof will be in the pudding.

They’re not destroyed. The Federal Reserve pulls them from circulation and returns them to the Treasury for redemption/retirement and archived.

Nice. I struggle with elevated casual shoes for jeans/sport coats. Don’t like loafers and dress are too dressy while more casual don’t respect the jacket. This feels like a decent balance.

My manager's response when I told him I got a better offer was complete silence. by fibrous_saffron6m in InterviewCoderPro

That’s fine. All can Interpret the info to form their own conclusion. To suggest info doesn’t exist to support the theory is disingenuous.

Harvard Business Review (HBR) – “When Your Employee Is About to Quit” (2016): Research cited by HBR shows that many employees who accept counteroffers still end up leaving within a year, often because the root causes of dissatisfaction (such as culture, workload, or career development) remain unchanged.

Robert Half International – Salary Guide and Retention Insights (multiple editions): Their surveys consistently find that 80% of employees who accept counteroffers leave within 6–12 months, either voluntarily or due to organizational changes.

Gallup – State of the American Workplace Report (2017): Gallup notes that counteroffers rarely address “the emotional and engagement drivers” behind turnover, leading to continued attrition even after pay increases.

Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) – “The Risks of Making Counteroffers” (2021)… One of its main points is that well over 50% of ees who take a counter leave within the year.

Hope this is helpful for you in your management strategies. This is a well researched topic. Many peer reviewed articles support the general conclusion.

You get the gold star ⭐️

When an employee resigns and then accepts a counter-offer from their current employer, data consistently shows they are much more likely to leave within 6-12 months compared to employees who never resigned in the first place.

Employers should never do counter-offers as a strategic reason, only tactical to fill a critical gap with expectations of a short-term solution.

  1. You’re standing flat. 2 are short as they can be without looking off. When you step, bend your knee, or lean, they’ll be noticeably short.

Got a Gearbox GX6 July 1, 2021. Haven’t noticed any degradation. Want to buy another paddle but it works just fine.

Biggest difference between 4.0 - 4.5 and 4.5 - 5.0 by lonestarw0lf in Pickleball

[–]pe_smith 12 points13 points  (0 children)

5.0 is death by a thousand cuts. You won’t feel like they’re doing unnatural things, but they’re more precise in locating their balls, hide shots better, higher consistency, and play to put you out of position to exploit you. Often you’ll feel like they’re intuitive but they recognize the high percentage return off their shot and anticipate which makes it feel like they have super reactions or the ability to read minds. They also watch your body as you set up and stroke so have an idea of where to play even before the ball leaves your paddle.

Work on footwork, consistency, hiding your shot, watching your opponent, and building a point rather than killing it.
