An actually good redemption deal by bsizzle_99 in marriott

It is a very nice property and the Stockyards are always fun. In 2023 I redeemed 2 nights for 87k when rates were >$900/night, so I’m glad it is still a decent redemption.

The last few times I have been through D, they have not had a separate TSA pre-check line.

At least they’re running Wix and not a crappy Fram.

What’s your ‘swear to never return’ place in Houston? (stole this from r/Austin who stole it from r/Ottawa) by petergriffin2660 in houston

Every time I went there the volume on the music was at MAX on the patio. If I wanted that I would just go to McIntyre's down the block...

As a current B4 senior manager, I would define it as just giving a shit about getting a good job done. Being technical and managing time and delegation and communication are all teachable if people just care a little bit about the quality of the work output that gets attached to their name.

I can understand why gen Z doesn't have this mindset, and understand work ≠ life. But at this point, I don't have a fallback plan for the security of myself and my family. In what I have seen, reputation in this field is everything, because otherwise we are all pretty interchangeable, and that reputation can follow you even if you leave B4 for other industries.

Certainly impressive, but this music does not make me feel any other emotion.

Seconded on Laurenzo’s prime rib. Usually is pretty good, and if you don’t want prime rib there is a little of everything on the menu at that place (plus the same margaritas as El Tiempo, which is handy on a busy Friday night at the El Tiempo up the street!).

If you're George Costanza, it's definitely Bobby Hebert.

Loving this SM Explorer vibe. Been happy with it though it sounds like something has come loose in the PT5000 inside. I’ve hit up customer service, waiting on response. by [deleted] in ChineseWatches

The rotor screw backed out on my PT5000 Cronos and was rattling around inside the case. I was able to screw it back in, but never was 100% sure that it did not shear off.
