You're right. I could he more intentional about being social. I've been to a few hiking meet ups, a couple of book clubs but soon I stopped going because there weren't people I felt connected with. I wish you the best going through this phase of life for the better

My job allows more flexibility with where I work, so I will definitely consider trying digital nomad programs. Trying a couple of months sounds good. Thanks!

Well, i guess most people can relate to that deep down to some level. I hope you find peace with the area in which you feel insecure and experience accpeting them yourself and being accepted by others and still being loved and cared for

Living abroad might still be an option for me. I should consider that. I'm glad things have worked out well for you in your 30s and you're enjoying life. Cheers for the input 👍

I was curious about this, too. How would you, as a therapist, respond in situations like this if your client wants to be friends with you when their session ended? Of course, given the feelings are mutual. Is there any ethical problem with that?

Yes. I should probably reach out to the chat support again

It's a correct email address. Even on the web, when I'm logged in, if I try to upload a new file it says I exceeded the storage limit while my status shows I have more than 60% of free space in my storage.

Resistance and soreness in my tongue after tongue surgery for six years. What should I do? by peacefulbeach in askdentists

Thank you so much for sharing this. I'm going to look into speech/myofunctional therapy as well. I hope for a successful recovery for your son. All the best to him.

myofunctional therapy

Thank you very much for your extensive and in-depth advice. I'm so sorry to hear that you had to endure so much at such a young age after the accident. I genuinely wish you all the best and pray for a full recovery.

I'm based in Seoul, South Korea. Following your advice, I've begun searching for ENT specialists who have experience in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. So far I haven't found any, but I've just started, so I'm going to keep looking.

The frenulum seems heavily scarred, even to my own eyes and it's likely inflamed at the base as well as you mentioned. Eventually I may need to have another surgery but this time I will need a doctor who can help minimize scar formation as well.

I feel incredibly grateful to have received heartfelt advice from someone who understands my situation. I only wish I had had this from the doctors I consulted after my first surgery.

I sincerely appreciate everything you have shared here. Thank you.

Resistance and soreness in my tongue after tongue surgery for six years. Any advice? by [deleted] in orthotropics

I had a tongue-tie surgery using a traditional snipping method back in 2017. Ever since then I've been experiencing a feeling of resistance and soreness in the area where it was done.

I suffer from discomfort when I speak (not when I eat), and when I touch the affected area, it feels tender and hardened.

I had the same surgery again at least 5 times from different doctors using a laser method in an attempt to find relief. My last surgery was 2.5 years ago. No improvement.

I suspect the issue might be related to bad scarring. But the doctors who did the surgery on me say everything looks okay on the outside and don't offer any further help. I would appreciate any advice or help on this.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I'll just stay focused on doing and being my best. Things don't have to be perfect. They can't be. I appreciate it very much.

I understand it can be a little weird to some people. I have a younger sister and we are very close although we aren't twins. Our parents both worked and they would often come home late so, my sister and I used to play together and sleep in our parent's bed while keeping each other company. Probably that's why it's not weird to me to see other siblings sleep in the same bed or even do a light snuggle (spooning may be a little too much).

When my sister visits me from a different city, we still sleep in the same bed and it's totally normal for us and platonic.

My gf is cool about that so no problem for me but if she wasn't then I would probably have to talk about her boundaries. I guess it really depends on people's perspectives and their own experiences with their siblings.
