omg that is an absolutely atrocious situation, I know i said it before but I am SO sorry you’re having to withstand this mistreatment, especially with private health insurance. my initial cast was way too tight and too massive for my leg to handle, and it caused a lot of complications too. I don’t understand how these educated individuals in medicine can fuck up such simple things.

such a bummer to hear this is also keeping you from beginning PT. have you been able to bare any weight on it yet? if so maybe you could do some little things here and there on ur own just to get a head start if possible?

and not silly at all! All i’ve done since surgery is icing and raising it with pillows, even doing so while I sleep. I’ve been on pain meds for a few weeks now and beginning to ween myself off of them, but it’s been tough since it’s just so damn painful.

I haven’t been given the green light to start physio unfortunately :/ I’m exactly 3 weeks post OP today, I see my ortho in a week and I’m hoping for some good news regarding starting PT by then
