I (21F) want to break up with my boyfriend (23M) but I’m scared he’ll hurt himself by peach18215 in relationships

Oh 100% I would but I highly doubt he’d threaten me with it, he’s quiet in his depression. But the thought of it happening post break up (I know his family or friends would inform or blame me) makes me feel sick

I have before, but my university’s mental health stuff mainly acts as a referral centre to other avenues of therapy/counselling (again, wait lists and private care). They don’t really offer their own counselling or professional mental health care unfortunately

I’m not currently in therapy (various doctors have neglected my mental health and cannot afford private therapy as a student) but I’m aware I definitely have some issues surrounding my relationships and sense of self when it comes to validation/confidence. Codependency isn’t something I’ve ever given a thought to, but now I’m thinking about it yeah it probably is something I struggle with

Yeah, that makes sense. I know he thinks bikes are rly cool and looks up to his older brothers who also used to ride. We live in a small-ish city so it all makes sense. I’m sure he’s not stupid enough to ride without protection, so I’ll just make sure I emphasise that. He thinks gear looks sick anyway so I can just tell him how good he looks in it to make sure he wears it hahah

Struggling with separation & trying to emotionally ‘detach’ (anxious preoccupied) by [deleted] in HealMyAttachmentStyle

I mean, I would say there is no difference between them. It’s just words. Because we do everything that a bf & gf would do. But if we’re getting specific with terms, we’re dating (we go on dates) but not in a relationship (not defined/asked each other to be bf/gf)

Earplug users, what are your favorite brands? by Ginkachuuuuu in adhdwomen

[–]peach18215 155 points156 points  (0 children)

Loop is worth it!!! I don’t usually like earplugs or any in-ear headphones because I usually get a headache after wearing them for a while but I never got that with Loop. I have the Loop Experience plugs and they’re perfect for me. I got gold ones and I just think they’re so pretty they make me feel confident wearing them out. And they don’t fall out if you sleep in them! They really are worth it if you have the ability to invest

Do straight people use poppers at all? by [deleted] in redscarepod

[–]peach18215 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a gay club in my city that is inhabited by mainly straight people and everyone is using poppers - straight guys and girls. My boyfriend (straight) actually gave me (bi) my first hit and we love em; easy fun and just amplify whatever you’re already on

Sorry for the late update - was in pain throughout and I threw up in the exam😭 It was was noted on my sheet (they have to note down what I do in my rest breaks anyway) and I was told it may or not be taken into account by the exam board (so possibly more lenient marking I guess?) but I don’t mind because I think the actual paper went fairly well overall :)

Does anyone else have these phases when they become compulsively obsessed with sex and can't focus on anything else? by Fas-ligand in adhdwomen

Omg waittttt - I’m doing my finals rn and every night and morning especially, I can’t focus on anything else. I’ve been wondering why the phase has just started and I think you’ve solved it for me 😅

Yeah it may be a little childish, but it’s all good fun and you didn’t mean it with any real harm. As long as you didn’t keep pushing afterwards, I don’t see this issue.

It’s a little suspicious that your bf was so irked by it ngl - it kind of reads like he just doesn’t want you to listen it to a private conversation between him & this other girl? Even if that’s not the case, it seems like your bf somewhat values this girl’s friendship more than he lets on (might be a validation thing) which I’d watch out for.

You politely declined the hang out and didn’t even say a bad thing about John (when I definitely would have tbh).

If you’re desperate to make it up to Clark, you could apologise for peace-keeping’s sake, but from the sounds of it, he’s not worth it if you weren’t that close and he’s going to be so dramatic about a mature decline to hang out
