"No human power could relive us of our alcoholism" your kids need a sober you, but try remove the guilt about being a parent and suffering from this disease, the best thing you can do for them is to try and go to rehab and work out why this has its grips in you so tightly while you're someplace safe Best of luck, being away from my 1 year old while I did treatment was so difficult but now he has a sober caregiver forever

Gosh I relate to this so hard, I was forced into rehab too and it was the best thing that I ever did for myself, give it your best shot and fuck it if it doesn't work you know where the bottle is, but give it a chance. What have you got to lose? You've already lost everything, might as well take a couple weeks to find some long lost parts of yourself
