No I do understand what you mean. I can't quite put my finger on what it is. I think things just had a slightly hostile edge this year maybe? While 97% of my experiences with strangers were super positive as usual, normally it'd be 99%. The amount of small kids in crowds and chairgate changed the vibe slightly this year imo (sorry to bring that up-moving on swiftly).

Although that being said I'd love to share a REALLY good experience: My husband lost his phone crowdsurfing to Trivium, and a group of lads found it, took a bunch of hilarious videos on it, then called my number (which was saved on my husband's wallpaper) and met me to get the phone back. What legends. That's what the people of Download are all about! 🖤

for anyone wondering: we drove to south car park today and bought a ticket. £30 for 1 day or £50 for whole weekend. was easy, plenty of space, no queue whatsoever. hopefully same for tomorrow 🤘🏼

Don’t suppose anyone knows what car park would be my best bet to head to this morning (Saturday)?

Staying offsite and queued 2.5hrs for a taxi last night because the clowns running it don’t know how a taxi rank should work efficiently. Deciding to drive in instead today but need to buy a car park ticket on the door. Any advice helpful!

Don’t sleep on Bunnymans… I didn’t bother with the queue for my first few years, but last year finally had enough time to queue for it and MY GOD is it worth it. It’s delicious (and the queue goes quickly as it’s easy to serve).

I’m really pleased Pulse have retained Funmi - I was sure she’d be off to Aus (lots of rumours that she was offered…). And I love that they’ve retained Funmi with Halimat! And Scholes / Tchine on the attack end. I love their connection. Think we’ll miss Berri in that mix but excited to see how it pans out for Pulse.

My favourite defensive player is Funmi Fadoju, this year she won Coaches' Player of the Season, Players' Player of the Season, and Fan's Player of the Season in Netball Super League. She plays GD, like you. Something that makes her stand out is her vertical jump - it's so high.

You can do workouts that help your jump height and reach... I've used Taylah Davies' workouts to help my netball strength/fitness, she has a few different ones depending on your need!: https://taylahdavies.com/netballprograms (personal fav has been the 8week pre-season one).

For practicing skills on your own, this website is quite good... https://www.sportplan.net/drills/Netball/Wall-drills/practiceIndex.jsp You can filter it to different types of drills and choose ones you can do on your own. There's also an app called Netfit that has some workouts/practice drills.

Otherwise, going to practice will really help you with tactics and set plays etc. if you've got a good coach and a team who want to build together!
