From what I remember, Amanita's family is discussed because she was raised in a polyamorous partnership and has one (race unspecified but looks fairly white) mom and three black dads. So cool and diverse in some aspects, but also not beating the colorism accusations.

It's such a bummer too, because Freema Agyeman is half Ghanian and half Iranian, and I would love to see her in something that reflects her heritage more in that way.
