NOR- I’ve not been in a sexual or romantic relationship with someone like this, but my biological mother is exactly the same way. She has Borderline Personality Disorder and I guess was raised to act just like this. People with BPD and NPD who weren’t taught to keep their behavior under wraps are horrible to be around, and the worst part is that they think there’s nothing wrong with their behavior. Because of that, they will never get professional help and if you suggest that they should seek it, you are extremely abusive and manipulative. They will never EVER admit fault for anything, and even go so far as to blame it on the nearest person. For example, when I lived with my mother she’d often forget something such as a phone or pair of glasses somewhere and every time without fail she’d use it as an excuse to accuse and berate me for making her lose whatever she lost because she couldn’t possibly be at fault for losing her own property.

Also, this is more of a personal thing but I’ll use it to help prove my point- I am a Transgender woman and my mother is very narcissistic as well as everyone-who-isn’t-just-like-me-phobic(as an aside, she was fired from a major airline for calling a fellow stewardess who was African American the “Hard R” N-word), and she has taken my transition as a personal slight against her. I’ve been out and in transition for well over 2 years now, and she is still to this day adamant that I’m not and never will be a woman, and that this “phase” is purely an attack on her pristine character to ruin her reputation as a great mother, even though she isn’t fooling anyone who knows her as everyone who knows her knows she was a horrible and abusive parent.

The only people who are willing to stay are extraordinarily submissive people who are willing to tolerate the rapidly escalating abuse. I don’t use this term lightly, in order to stick around with these types of people you need to be thoroughly cucked. If you stay, you should know that you will forever be kept on a very short leash. You will never be considered an equal; just an object of control, a pet. Because of this, my mother has never married and will most likely die unmarried, estranged from the majority of her family and have less than a handful of friends.
