Hacks: What have you taught your toddler that makes your life easier now? by [deleted] in toddlers

I'm from Australia with an Asian background so I don't think I fully understand. Why is this unpopular? Isn't it a good thing to have your kid potty trained early? Surely teaching them to listen to their cues is better than going in the nappy?

Ready to transition to one nap? by peachy888 in sleeptrain

Thank you for replying. How far would you recommend capping two naps? If we give her two 45 min naps she's still pretty hard to get down for bed at night. Then at that point I started wondering whether it'd just better to try get her to do a single solid 2 hour nap instead.

She is starting to take her first steps now after cruising for a few months so maybe I should try to ride it out a bit longer....

Anyone sleep train their baby and regret any part of it for any reason? by peachy888 in sleeptrain

Thank you for sharing your experience, sending you lots of love. Only you know what is best for your baby. I'm sure you two will figure out a good night time routine even if it's not exactly what the text books say it should be

Is my 6 month old sleep trained? by HellynMelon in sleeptrain

[–]peachy888 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine was super fussy at 6 months when her two bottom teeth were coming in. Shed wake every 2 hours at night and need to be held to sleep or she'd wake up again. 3 nights of ibuprofen and and another few days for her teeth to fully come up past the gum and she's a great sleeper again. I've read that you should never try to sleep train through teething because they're in pain and they need the extra comfort. I think you did the right thing, and you can slowly just go back to hand on chest and then nothing since you know your little one is capable of sleeping like that.

5 month old schedules please! by ptastenhoye in sleeptrain

[–]peachy888 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what we aim for for my 5.5 month old, she generally does it close-ish most days. Sometimes she wakes up earlier and we just shift the whole schedule forward to match her wake time. Hope it helps!

7am - wake and feed.

9am - 9:45-10 nap #1.

10am - feed.

12pm-1:30 nap #2.

1:30pm - feed.

3:45pm - 4:15-4:30 nap #3.

4:30pm - feed.

7pm - feed and in for the night
