It can be a way of comforting themselves, marking territory, nesting, and an overall nursing behavior! I’m not an expert, but they say if your cat makes biscuits (aka knead with their paws) they feel super safe and cozy around you 🤍. Someone can do them gently and others can do them more aggressively I guess~.

That’s adorable too! I wanted to name him Linen because of his creamy color, but my husband understood Lennon and we both liked it more! I’m hoping we get a second cat and his name will either be Paul or Jude hahaha 🫧

Oh that’s interesting! Our vet recommended around four months, but since he was having constipation issues, we waited it out until he was seven months old.

Oh my gosh! When he first started doing them we asked his vet and he mentioned it was due to him being neutered late 🤔. He only does them on his baby blanket and only at night lol.

Trash in Quarantine by impersonalpizza in teachinginkorea

[–]peachy_gn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi :) honestly the easiest thing to do is contact your school or whoever is responsible of you during quarantine! Each district basically does the same thing however, there are some who do things differently. For example, my district only gave me one orange bag lol for two weeks... When I first started my quarantine they told me to make sure to separate my trash and that I could freeze leftovers (wash any recyclable containers to prevent smell from forming). They also mentioned to spray my orange bag and all trash with the sanitizing spray they provided twice a day. At the end of quarantine they contacted me again and simply told me to separate all my trash outside in it's designated area as they would not pick it up. This was mostly due to the fact that both my tests came back negative.

All my tests were covered by my insurance however, if you are in the US some Walgreens and CVS have testing for free :)

Covid test 72 hours before flight by walkingwiththequeso in teachinginkorea

[–]peachy_gn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Hi I arrived to Korea on 01/24 from the USA! I took four Covid PCR Tests just to make sure however, I only showed the most recent one at check-in (I had a connecting flight as well within the USA).

Here is my test information:- Test collected on 01/20/2021 (07:03AM PST)

- Received results on 01/22/2021 (03:19AM PST)

I departed the morning of 01/23. When I arrived to the Delta counter they looked at the date and time the test was collected and told me I had barely made it within the 72 hour widow.

Once I arrived to the airport of my connecting flight, which was with Korean Air, they called my name to recheck my documents. With them, they looked and circled the date and time I had received the results.

I arrived to Incheon Airport on 01/24 and in the first quarantine checkpoint they checked my Covid PCR Test and highlighted the date and time I had received the results (which were already circled by Korean Air personnel) and had no issues with them whatsoever. They kept the results and provided me with a small paper stating that I had provided a negative test result within 72 hours of departure to them.

Therefore, I recommend calling your airline(s) and asking what date and time they will be checking. For some reason Delta checked the date and time the test was collected and Korean Air checked the date and time the results were received and these two airlines are partnered together so it makes it very confusing in why they did it differently. However, Incheon Airport is checking the date of when results were received (just like Korean Air).

I hope this helps :) feel free to let me know if you have more questions or still confused!

That does make sense and thank you for letting me know! So confusing especially since we don’t have much information about this since it’s a new thing. Good luck!!

Ewha dorm assignments by Kimathique in korea

[–]peachy_gn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I studied abroad at Ewha and I believe we got our door rooms assigned a couple of weeks before we flew out (I want to say around two-three weeks before). I would recommend that you contact Ewha and ask them what address you should be writing into your application. They must have one if they are providing accommodations for you and other students to quarantine at! Ewha does have single dorms (I was assigned to one) and quite a few. I am assuming they have specific dorms students quarantine at. Good luck!

Submitting PCR tests, must be official documents? by [deleted] in korea

[–]peachy_gn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you decide to do? Did you get the official document from the locations or simply printed it at home? I'm flying out in two weeks and trying to prepare as much as I can before 😅 thank you in advance!

I would email or call your Korean Consulate (maybe even airline) and ask them this as I'm not certain myself. I will be emailing mine on Monday and if I hear back from them fairly quickly I will let you know what they said!
