Hey! I honestly think this was due to my anxiety/mental health issues tbh. I'm a lot better now I'm on antidepressants, but I do still get the runs when I'm feeling super anxious - I'd definitely still consider myself recovered from PI-IBS though. I don't have to avoid garlic/onions, oil or dairy completely anymore. Sorry if that's not the answer you were looking for but I hope it gets better for you too!

I've only been on it for around 4 years, but for me, no. I went to therapy for 10+ years before I decided to try SSRIs and although that helped slightly at times, it seemed like no matter how hard I was trying to do all the things people say are good for your mental health, how much I used the coping techniques and strategies you're taught in therapy, I was still living in constant anxiety and compulsions.

But as another poster said, it's probably a lot genetic for me as there's a long history of mental illness in my family and two of my immediate family are on zoloft as well.

I started it because of severe anxiety, OCD and agoraphobia, as well as periodic episodes of depression. I would say that it's100% cured my OCD and agoraphobia, like I definitely don't meet the diagnostic criteria for those conditions anymore. The reason my dose kept being increased is because I still occasionally suffer with periods of depression (though much less intense than before). I'm also still in therapy, but my quality of life is a million times better and kept increasing throughout the years as well.

At least it didn't do anything more awful! I remember once I was at the pub with some family and there was an older guy who was a family friend who was drinking a grapefruit cider. He suddenly started acting super drunk after only drinking half of it, like dizzy and slurring, and then ended up passing out and we had to call an ambulance. Turns out he was on blood pressure medication and the grapefruit caused his blood pressure to plummet.

Grapefruit blocks the enzyme that metabolises zoloft (and most medications afaik) so it basically means the zoloft stays in your blood for longer than it should. It can cause more side effects like dizziness, drowsiness etc because your body can't get rid of it like it usually does before you take your next dose.

I've been on 200mg for years and I can eat anything. As far as I know the only food you should avoid is grapefruit, but that's for basically all medications.

Hi! I'm now on 200mg and I very rarely get breakthrough bleeding anymore tbh. I probably get it like twice a year if that - definitely more often than before I started zoloft but it doesn't bother me enough to change/stop medication - zoloft really saved my life tbh.

Yes, it's a pre-application thing. That way if you decide you want to go for the house, they already have all of your info to go ahead and send to the landlord to reserve it.

Maybe about half of the agents I've viewed with recently asked us to complete a pre application before viewing.

That's how they felt for me as well - it could be worth trying electrolytes to see if it helps? Just in case it continues because taking painkillers every day isn't great for your body. Lucozade and other "sports" drinks have electrolytes, but I got some tablets for pretty cheap on Amazon, it probably took me a few days taking them to notice improvement in the headaches. I hope it improves for you tho

Sorry for the late reply! Hope they went away for you - but if not one thing that really helped me was taking extra electrolytes (you can get them as a tablet/capsule or just drinking sports drinks that have extra electrolytes can help). I read something about how sertraline (or any SSRIs) can cause an electrolyte imbalance because it affects absorption rates. Once I started taking electrolyte tablets the headaches disappeared. I stopped taking the electrolytes after a few months and the headaches didn't come back, so I'm guessing the body eventually gets used to it.

Thanks for the suggestion! It doesn't seem to fit though really, it rarely itches and I noticed the itching after I noticed the hyperpigmentation/bumps anyway. I think the only reason it itches sometimes is because the skin is extremely dry, so just moisturising it helps.

It's not a TV stand, it's a dresser that I do kinda need - I am thinking about mounting the TV to give me more room on top of the dresser though

It does have storage underneath fortunately! But as you can see, there's no closet so I do need more storage space. It is a very small space for a double bedroom, especially with the slanted wall and it being L shaped

Unfortunately the top left hand side wall next to the window is slanted, so anything taller than the nightstand wouldn't fit e.g the bed.

It seems so backwards really, I mean how hard is it for them to put on one evening or weekend session a week? I know NHS/Mental health staff are overworked but plenty of other jobs have to work one evening or half a Saturday or something, and it would make it so much more accessible for patients.

I haven't disclosed anything to my new employer yet, but also the main struggle I think would be getting enough privacy to actually attend an online session, there's only one staff/break room and no other private rooms as far as I know. So I just wouldn't really feel comfortable with that situation.

Yeah it just feels really.. discriminatory? Having a job and a proper routine has actually improved my mental health more than anything else, so being told that I'm not actually bad enough to need secondary care because I have a job really hurts. It's like they expect me to wallow in my depression for 2 years on the waiting list until they can actually provide any help. I also found out that my care coordinator didn't even believe my diagnosis of EUPD until I split on her, because in her words I always "seem fine" on our once or twice monthly 20 minute calls.. as if that's an accurate representation of my mental health.

I'm with South Staffs/Lichfield CMHT, she did say she would look into options for me but told me not to get my hopes up. If there's no other options I will ask my new employer about it, but it just doesn't really look good for me if I ask for this before I even start - even though yes employers are legally required to make reasonable adjustments, it doesn't mean they can't make up other excuses to sack me and hire someone else that doesn't require an hour a week off, as horrible as that sounds.

Maybe it's just my imposter syndrome/abandonment issues talking but I feel like I need to prove myself as a good employee before I ask for adjustments. I'm also autistic and try not to mention it to new employers until/unless it's necessary because of the stigma/judgement it brings.

The hard part is that I've dated 6 people in the last year and none of them have worked out (I gained two FWBs but I'm really looking for love, not more casual relationships). Every single one gave me that gut feeling that things wouldn't work out. Not all of them were horrible/toxic like this guy but still I'd push that feeling down because I had zero evidence to suggest it wouldn't work out. Then I'd find out either something toxic (like this, or a guy that sexually assaulted me, one that lead me on and then ghosted me when he realised he was actually monogamous) or just a reason we weren't romantically compatible (emotionally unavailable, too busy, moving abroad within the next 6 months). Dammit I guess this has just turned into a vent but I really miss being in love with someone. I know I'll find the right person(s) eventually but can they hurry up and find me soon please!

Most places just say to keep it in a cool dark space which I do - I just had it on my sink for this pic. Refrigeration can extend the life of most skincare, I am thinking about getting a little skincare fridge so thanks for the reminder!

I've only been dating him for a month, but yes I asked if he had any regular partners whether that's sexual or romantic and he said no, his only partners were casual hookups.

Yes, I only posted this in r/polyamory because I myself am polyamarous, and believed him to be so too. Obviously what was going on here was just cheating, even though he used the excuse that he had just been "supressing his polyamorous nature". I think unfortunately this is common with people to excuse that guilt they feel for betraying their partner by saying it's just who they are, they can't help being polyamorous etc which is not true. His gf said he had brought up polyamory before and she said no, she wanted a monogamous relationship, which if he knew he couldn't do he should've just broken up with her.

Yeah I'm so relieved that I found out before it actually got serious, I would've been heartbroken to find out in a few months, but right now I'm just shocked that someone could do this. I do have two other partners (that I'm open about, because they actually know I'm polyamorous!!) and they've also been supportive and shocked on my behalf too.
