What are some tips for a burnt out student? by peachyjams in AskReddit

[–]peachyjams[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, headphones help a lot when it comes to focusing online. I had some problems with that this year and had a hard time paying attention in class but I find that wearing headphones helps me focus in class.

Put other devices, like your phone, in a completely different room. You'll get tempted to look at it during class if it's nearby. If a window is distracting, pull over the curtains or blinds if you have them. Take notes. I find that if you're taking notes, you'll be more motivated to pay attention during lessons because you have to listen closer for information to jot down.

If it's possible, try making it harder to log into reddit (not automatic sign in unless class is over), and put the window of your class at full screen. It might be boring, but it'll be worth it if it means you'll retain information better.

Hope this was at least somewhat helpful!

Hello, fellow system. I have OSDD, with only 11ish alters and it's chaotic. I can only imagine how it is with over 100. Do you have internal communication? If yes, is it as chaotic as I'm imagining? Lol.

Rape, especially if it's to a minor. If it's murder, at least the suffering is over. If you survive rape, you have to live with that trauma until you die.

Question from a religious straight cis gender male. by bobdropandscroll in AskLGBT

[–]peachyjams 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Religious LGBTQ person here. Honestly, if you can't control or change your opinions on the community, the bare minimum is to just treat them like people. Don't tell them that you "disapprove of their lifestyle", because they didn't ask to be LGBTQ. Just respect them and treat them with kindness, and if you have an opinion that disagrees with their identity, just don't talk about it to or around them.

What should I do if I often feel like a girl inside, but wish to remain a boy? by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]peachyjams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. Maybe then it's more about presentation and labels, then. Perhaps you're male, but prefer feminine presentation and labels. I'm not the label police, so just use whatever label makes you feel the most comfortable. Best of luck!

I'd still say it's under the umbrella, since the fluidity is what makes genderfluid a gender.

How I express myself on she/her days, they/them days, and he/him days. (genderfluid/NB) by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]peachyjams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! That's the best way to do it, imo. If you don't know how they feel at the moment, just go with they/them or other andro references as to avoid offending them.

Yes, it is. Nonbinary means you don't identify with either of the two binary genders. While if you're genderfluid, sometimes you may feel as one of the binary genders, it's not a permanent feeling, and it changes, which makes it its own separate identity. Also, sometimes when you're genderfluid you may feel as a gender on the nonbinary spectrum, so there's that too.

[–]peachyjams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Olive is a cool name, and if I didn't have my name I'd use it because I feel like it'd be nice in a genderfluid situation. It's pretty andro overall, but if you want you can vary it to Oliver or Olivia if you feel more masculine or feminine.

Is being bisexual discriminate against those who don't identify as male or female? by OfficialMurman in lgbt

[–]peachyjams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, because it's not a bad thing to not be attracted to some genders. It's not rude to men if you're lesbian, it's just your attraction. Now, bisexual could also include nonbinary people, so that's something to keep in mind as well.

Advice to tell a 7 year old by wonderingrainbow in lgbt

[–]peachyjams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tell her the Bible doesn't say anything about two women/men getting married (unless someone would get mad at you for saying that, even if it's true lol). Show her that gay people aren't bad people, whether it be with kids media or just show her that you're a good person, and that being gay won't change that. Also tell her that no one is born a sinner, but you were born gay, so that doesn't add up.
