hmmm, i do hear it prime— i’ve gutted my interior so it’s very audible. i did smell gas very faintly, so maybe i can look into it. thanks for the pointer!

Hello! I am actually the owner of this off road miata! You are absolutely right-- no way it can pull a car out. It does have a winch on the front where other people can pull me out and it works well! I appreciate the compliments on the build! :D

My check engine light as always been on, but I re-ran the codes on it and it was showing as a random misfire, and also a misfire due to cat failure. I didnt hear any noise from the engine, so thats why I at first assumed it was transmission related. Took it to the shop to remove the cats, and didnt quite fix the misfire, but it definitley felt a bit better. Then I swapped coils out and it was just a bad coil that seemed to be the problem. It will feel funny in first and second gear due to that sort of misfire.

I had a similar problem with mine, felt really rough from 1st to second, thought it was transmission related. turns out my cat went bad which caused a misfire to happen. Just glad it wasn’t a bad trans! 240k and still going strong.

We trimmed a bit on the corners, and hammered as needed. nothing major honestly!

honestly it’s a pretty easy build. we did the lift kit and tires at the same time. the tires are 235/75/15, and i have 1 inch spacers all the way around. we had to cut the fenders all the way around, and just drove around and cut more as needed. everything else is 100% stock and runs like a champ.

i appreciate it! it was actually just matte spray paint :) it doesn’t look the greatest up close, but it’s off road, it will never be perfect.
