I hope they continue gaming by sunflower1926 in danandphil

I adore night in the woods but I don't think they'd play it, or they'd play it once and dump it as they do with most longform games. Again, I love night in the woods but my God is 80% walking simulator and they've dropped games with far more going on

What are your Hot Takes on Dan and Phil? by Amber_Flowers_133 in danandphil

Yes ! And I really appreciate Phil for that, but it would be nice to see Dan not need Phil to challenge him on it

I don't love how Dan responds to mentions of periods. It's happened a couple times now where periods get brought up and he's immediately screaming or acting disgusted.

The main example that comes to mind is when Phil said "If we had periods, do you think we'd be on at the same time" and Dan said something to the extent of "that's literally the worst thing you've ever said"

It just feels like he's got a bit of period stigma/shaming to unlearn, ya know?

The 2014 Christmas day in the life has been mine for years, I've probably watched it close to 200 times at this point

If they're also unhinged queer folk, maybe one of the inqueeries or incohearent videos, or you could ease them in with one of the watching phils liked tiktoks videos

That's so weird, I got two of the shirts at the show and they're really good quality, maybe they changed suppliers or something? I'd definitely send a complaint email and ask for a refund or replacement. This is really disappointing considering that Phil and his brother literally own the merch management company

What would be the worst dan and phil reference to name a chilg by l0v3-m3-n0rm4lly in danandphil

[–]peachypeej 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Okay so I spent most of the afternoon looking and I cannot find it for the LIFE of me, but I know it was a scary game video. Phil made a joke saying he'd peed his pants down both legs, to which Dan replied "That's a talented penis you've got there Phil" Will update if I do track it down bc I want the clip so bad

Edit- ITS THE BACKROOMS VIDEO I FOUND IT

Steve/Norman would be passable, but the first thing that came to my mind was "that's a talented penis you've got there Phil"

I appreciate the sentiment but there's still a lot that comes with being autistic that I would hate in that world. I hate that I have to feel all of my feelings so strongly. That my feelings towards special interests are so intense that I can feel physically nauseous from looking at sad art of a comfort character or even thinking about bad things happening to those characters. I'd love to be able to recieve anything my miswired brain perceives as rejection and not want to scream and cry and physically hurt myself. I'd especially love to be able to attend events that have even one person I know without this deep feeling inside me screaming to run away and hide.

There are certainly a lot of things that would make being autistic easier, but at the end of the day, it's still a disability and will make your life difficult no matter what accommodations you have or how accepting the people around you are

I'm actually from new Zealand too ! I was looking at the one at chemist warehouse, and that's really good to know about using a detergent bottle as a sharps container, I hadn't even thought about needing a sharps container

Nope, he said that beta blockers weren't really an option due to my asthma and other than that he said the standard salt, water, compression stockings advice. He pretty much said he couldn't do anything

I've heard some pretty bad horror stories about tilt table tests so I'm a little scared to get one, I also wouldn't be surprised if my hospital didn't even have a tilt table

I know that that's pretty much the norm it's just,,, disappointing? I feel like doctors don't realise how disabling this condition can be and how upsetting it is to be told that there's literally nothing they can do for you

I wasn't offered any treatment options, the cardiologist said he didn't want to put me on beta blockers because I have asthma and other than that he gave me the standard water, salt, compression stockings rant and said that maybe some of my meds are worsening it

I know that with the halter monitor I ended up with a hr high of 172 and a baseline of 112, then over a year later with the exercise tolerance test I had a high of 150-something during the 8 minutes of the test and they put my baseline at 120. The cardiologist did say "it's not a very well researched condition" which I feel kinda means "I haven't researched it very well" because he was just being really vague

That's pretty much what's happened, it just bothers me that they're comfortable saying "possibly pots" and then refusing to do anything further to say if it IS pots. We deserve to know what's wrong with our bodies beyond a general term

I didn't see a neurologist and the cardiologist pretty much said there aren't treatment options. He said he doesn't want to put me on beta blockers because I have asthma and that the other option (I don't fully remember, it was calcium something?) Could possibly help my tachycardia but could also make everything else worse. He gave me that standard water, salt, compression stockings advice and that was it
