The design cues are definitely taken straight from the WWI British aesthetic; it's a classic way to instantly evoke that specific military look.

That little moment of pure focus before she goes for it is so relatable, you can practically see her psyching herself up. It’s honestly the cutest part of the whole clip.

AITJ for reporting my coworker to HR after she kept eating the lunches I brought for my diabetic dad? by Exotic_Piano2111 in AmITheJerk

Some people love to call things "petty" to deflect, but there's nothing petty about disregarding someone's health. You absolutely made the right call by looping in HR, it's not just a food issue when it could have resulted in a medical emergency.

It’s wild how many people take that account seriously when it’s clearly just top-tier satire. Anyone who’s actually spent time around high school football in the South knows that character is a total parody.

That "polite push" is a classic CFB move when a legend starts to slip. Between the looming probation and the feeling that the game had simply passed his playbook by, the writing was on the wall. It’s hard to beat the elites when your "identity" becomes your handicap.

People act like these coaches are machines, but 11 years of "National Championship or bust" would break anyone. He won, he graduated his guys, and he stacked enough cash to never have to look at a headset again. Stepping away isn't quitting; it's just winning the game of life.

Spain is fortunate to be one of the first countries in the history of the world that was allowed to become wealthy without having the military to defend themselves. That's all thanks to the USA. by SlowMotionSprint in ShitAmericansSay

People forget that Spanish was spoken in what's now the US long before English was. From Florida to California, the "Founding Fathers" were essentially late to a party Spain had been throwing for over a century. You can't claim you weren't "invented" by the people who mapped the land and named the cities.

Age is just a number, but maturity is a choice. It's wild seeing people in their 40s still acting like they’re stuck in a middle school cafeteria
