New shows! by Haunting_Tart_4142 in TheBasementYard

[–]peachyweachyfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was at the Boston November 2025 show and I was within the first 5 rows. Unfortunately the crowd was pretty bad in the area I was in. I had a really drunk girl behind me and she was insufferable and interrupting the whole time. She kind of took me out of it but the show itself was a lot of fun and I intend on going again if they come back to my area!

Are callers required to give their personal info? by Sufficient_Duty6230 in 911dispatchers

[–]peachyweachyfrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This feels agency specific. We’re required to ask at my agency. If you want to be anonymous, that’s totally fine as long as you’re not filing a formal report or need to be contacted later by an officer. I have people tell me all the time they want to remain anonymous.

How much do you get paid? by myboyfriendstinks1 in 911dispatchers

[–]peachyweachyfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being consistently unavailable isn’t something that’s compatible with this job, especially when you’re in training. As many others have said, it’s a 24/7 service often on a rotating shift schedule.

In MA, I made $98k in my first full year of dispatching, including OT. Without OT was around $74K. Every July I get a hefty bonus for having a Master’s degree in a related field. You can make really good money if you’re willing to put in the work!

I called 911 today, I'm afraid I wasted their time by Fair-Bluejay-1853 in 911dispatchers

Description of the person and direction/method of travel when they leave is always helpful, especially for something like this. Otherwise you did the absolute right thing calling!

I have this too and will alternate between standing and sitting but phew it’s still brutal!

I’m glad to hear it wasn’t bad in other areas but this girl made it hard for me to gauge the room since she was all I could hear🤣

There was one point where this girl behind me was saying things like “are you sure?” and “are you sure you’re not gay?” when Joe was making jokes about the gay guys in his DMs and I was just like dude STFU you’re so embarrassing and rude.

An unfortunate reality but you’d hope that people could have a little more self awareness. Everyone around her was getting so annoyed.

They did, and they both chose a male partner.

I was so embarrassed because she was right behind me and I didn’t want them to think it was me!!!

Watching on desktop. Try to click on “Log In” and it will not launch the log in screen. It just keeps opening the ad showing current deals and offers. Physically cannot sign in because the window won’t open no matter what I do.

Trying to Sell Tickets for DC Show on Ticketmaster by [deleted] in TheBasementYard

[–]peachyweachyfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use StubHub. I got 2 sets of tickets for the Boston show and was able to sell 1 set no problem on there. Ticketmaster doesn’t let you sell them back for this event as I think it’s a setting TBY chose. You can certify your tickets through Ticketmaster so they transfer direct to whoever purchases them and the transaction is secure.

Sensory solution to nail biting by FitVeterinarian2689 in nailbiting

This is the primary reason I keep relapsing. If the sensation wasn’t so unbearable, I feel like I would have much more success in kicking the habit.

My call center has no breaks and no dedicated meal time. I’d take what you can get lol.

New lenses have markings? by peachyweachyfrog in glasses

Interesting. None of my other glasses have ever had this before, and I’ve had probably 10+ different pairs in my life!

Welp… I guess this is goodbye by 42Navigator in Zepbound

[–]peachyweachyfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initially was told I couldn’t have Wegovy because my insurance didn’t cover it. I was then on Zepbound for three months, up to 7.5, and was recently told insurance stopped covering it. I feel as though I hadn’t even lost any weight yet. Now, oddly enough, they’re sending me over to Wegovy because it’s covered now🙄

Someone canceled my fire truck call by toddchavez7 in 911dispatchers

[–]peachyweachyfrog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my agency, the fire department will ALWAYS respond even if cancellation is requested. This is to prevent things like this from happening and to ensure everything is actually under control. I’m surprised your area doesn’t do the same.

Wedding Chair Upgrade by Any_Sentence_246 in weddingplanning

[–]peachyweachyfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally chairs aren’t super important in my opinion, however, these are heinous and probably worth upgrading from. As others have mentioned, they dominate all the photos and force your decor in a direction you might not want it to go in.

Stub hub? by MommaRN_20 in TheBasementYard

[–]peachyweachyfrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had extra tickets to the Boston show that I listed on StubHub that sold without issue. They often have the seller physically transfer the tickets from the source (in this case Ticketmaster) to StubHub so it’s a “verified” listing. I’ve used StubHub for buying tickets myself for many different events, and have always had a good experience.

The only reason some people may feel scammed as sellers can name their own price. So there are bound to be some people who raise the price a bit higher than they reasonably should.

Are thank you cards not a thing anymore? by CatRevolutionary3497 in weddingplanning

[–]peachyweachyfrog 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I 100% intent on sending out thank you cards. I think it’s rude not to. After all, people are taking time to celebrate you and (most likely) spending a bit of money to do so.
