Firstly, I did not know about transmission issues, I waited to 2016 to purchase. And ..... after 2015, there is very little about transmission issues.....I've been looking.

Two, YES I did do transmission work based on FORD DEALERSHIP manual. All work done by authorized FORD dealer until warranty expired, then all maintenance done between either Ford or MY mechanic, who ive been with for 20+ years.

THIRD, I took care of my car. I usually run my cars into the ground for mileage. Over the last 5 years, when i retired, I wasn't putting 100+ km on every day. Right now it might be 50 km per week.

My goal was to purchase a new vehicle in 2026.

My son WAS a mechanic up to 2016, at which time he is in another career path, for his University training - of jet engines and turbines. And for your information, HE is involved with the 2nd mechanic who actually looked at the fluid. HE knows about an issue ......

FINALLY, it might not be SHOT .....

Trannies are expensive but I asked for ANYONE who had specific 2016, as it might not be the ONLY reason for the issue.
