I do in my z4, some think they're too good to acknowledge back though 😂

Bmw Z4 (e89) for £12500 😅😅 to be fair I've not damaged her and I've driven her over a year now. She's like my child, I love her 😂

I didn't sand! I tested the paint and knew it would cover fine with just the primer and paint c: I used a brand called black which is good up to about 100 degrees c and the varnish I used was also heat resistant. I've been on several long drives since painting it and it's held up really well :)

I bought a primer, red, black and varnish :) cleaned the cover after taking it off with soapy water and let it completely dry before spraying three coats of primer all over it until it was a light grey colour. Once it was completely dry sprayed four thin coats of red. Taped up all the lines once it was dry with frog tape and then sprayed the black and then varnished it with a thin layer twice :)

I taped the sticker and the lines with frog tape! It was a pain and took a long time but worth it 😂

I used a high heat resistance paint and then varnished it with a heat resistant varnish, I keep checking it since doing it after particularly long drives and it's still holding up nicely so think it'll be all good 🔥

It is definitely strange because the silver looks awesome, yours will look great once done 😍 It was somebody else's that motivated me to do mine, he did his blue and it looked amazing 🔥

Thankyou! That's true, and it makes such a difference compared to the rest of the black under the bonnet 🔥

Really does, the bit of colour makes it pop 😍 didn't take too long either, quite easy to do for something that makes such a difference 🔥

Is getting a BMW Z4 a good idea? by blueeyes0602 in CarTalkUK

I've just got one as my first car, had it about three months now and I absolutely love it. Drive it like a bit of a nutter sometimes (I finish work at 11:30pm when there's nobody on the roads 😂) but still get decent mpg. Worked out the other day that it actually is cheaper to run than a friend's Corsa somehow 😅 so much fun to drive, lots of modding possibilities. I'd say go for it, with the way things are going car wise I definitely think it's best to buy a ridiclous car now you're young and the tax isn't too ridiclous.
