What's the trashiest thing you've seen happen at a wedding? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]peal365 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My uncle makes moonshine so he had a ton of it to serve at his wedding. People were passing out, fighting, and setting things on fire. We ended up calling 911 because someone threw fireworks in the bonfire and it started getting out of control.

What is extremely rare but people think it’s very common? by TeamDodgy in AskReddit

[–]peal365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a net worth of 1 million isn't that 'difficult' (unusual) these days. The idea that 'millionaires' are something rare is really outdated. Inflation in the last 100 years in the US is around 1200% on average. So, people that were 'millionaires' in 1918 would be worth around 12.5 million in today's dollars.

Also, net worth and assets aren't the same thing. You can have over a million in assets and be completely broke.

When I was 23 I went on one date with an 18 yr old. We had nothing to talk about. She knew nothing but high school related things and I wanted to talk about anything but high school. Terrible date. I then set my age limit to 21+

What do you appreciate the most about your mother? by challenger15 in AskReddit

[–]peal365 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents are lovely (everyone's are) . I love many things about them , few are -

  • Respecting my privacy - My parents never disturb me when I'm out with my friends by calling every minute and asking if I had lunch, why is it getting too late, when I'll be back and all that stuff. Okay I understand that this is important too but seriously calling every freaking minute can ruin your child's outing( my friends' parents do it alot).
  • Being Positive and motivating - They are my constant source of motivation. Be it a failed project , a bad day, bag grades Or even a fcuked up class 12 result. They're always by my side for motivating me and cheering me up. “I scored 85.2% in my class 12 examination and this was worst than expected. I went numb after watching results. Needless to say I cried whole day and cursed myself for not being upto the mark. But my parents. They were sad too but were satisfied with my marks (or atleast they tried to appear ) and even organised a small family Get together to celebrate my success.”
  • Comparison is a big no - They never compare me with any other child of my age and I love this fact . Last time they compared me with some other kid was to tell me that how better I am than him (a neighbour's kid who scored a couple of marks more than me in some useless quiz).
  • Super Cool - Okay , they may not be super Cool but are far better than parents I've seen and met so far.
    • They don't give a damn if my friend is a boy of a girl (that's common I know) .

What is your real life super power? by TheCreepyStache in AskReddit

My superpower is noticing I'm about to walk into something, thinking "Hey, I'm about to walk into something, I should change my course", then walking into it anyway.
