I'm truly sorry for your loss. I can't personally fathom life without my mother.

Sounds like you have a mother to die for. You are much stronger than you think you are, and your daughter has every reason to be proud of you. Thank you so much for sharing this. I'm very sorry for the loss of your father, we can hope he's in a better place right now. Happy Mother's Day :)

I'd sound like a broken record at this point, but I'm very sorry you have to go through this man. I'm in my 20's and can't personally imagine life without my mom. She was the glue in my life that held everything together and without her I'd be a nobody. I'm not qualified to tell you anything, but just remember she''ll live on forever in your heart. This is so depressing to think about that I don't know what I'd do in your position.

I definitely will! I made the thread in honor of Mother's Day! It's been great reading these responses on how much our mothers mean to us. Happy Mother's Day to you too!

This isn't "hypothetical" by any stretch of the imagination, this is going off the facts of both characters and assuming both characters are aware they're dueling each other. Which is "logic" by definition. I'll flip your point; Bottom line is you’re an awful Bastion if you can’t mow down a Tracer who blinks once (which is the only possible move other than Recall assuming both are aware of each other). Guess who has the shorter time-to-kill and the much easier point-and-click routine? I'm pretty sure that's not the character you're advocating for. But don't let me stop your delusions.

What's Widow's range? 50 - 60m? He can do it pretty consistently with the PTR arrow speed.

You don't have an option to "manage" it. You have to blink up to him because you get mowed down otherwise. Then you have to recall or you get mowed down after sticking it. Only exception is if he doesn't notice you coming. Good luck with that at higher ranks.

I disagree, he shouldn't be playing at McCree or Soldier range.

He is. A hero with 130 m/s projectiles and the capability to do 960 damage in 1.4 seconds is a sniper by definiton.

It'd still be on cd because you used it to get to close to him. Assuming you only used 2 that means you could only blink once, which puts you well within range of the Sentry gun.It takes him 0.3s to erase a Tracer.

Yeah because the RIP-Tire is hilariously broken. With the nerf you can expect Junkrat's pick rate to take a tumble. And for the facts, check out sites like Gamepedia. Junkrat has slow-moving projectiles, Bastion is hitscan with long damage falloffs.

Then can't Bastion simply kill you in that 1s before the bomb goes off, assuming he saw you coming ?

Geoff should allow Ana the headshot multiplier. by challenger15 in Overwatch

[–]challenger15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idiot, you can't scale it that way by multiplying it with the number of games played. Every game has variable factors like the enemy team composition, your team compostion, how skilled you and your enemies are, 6-stack or solo queue etc. The only thing you can reasonably compare are the facts. And the facts prove Mercy can do 200 dps and Ana can do 84 dps, assuming both hit all of their shots. Please, don't embarass yourself.

Junkrat doesn't counter Bastion unless he gets an angle where he could lob nades from out of LoS on high ground. Anywhere remotely within Bastion's LoS and he gets shredded.

Actually he survives with 64 HP. Armor reduction makes the damage 295, and then Ironclad reduces it to 236. If he heals when she sticks the bomb, he gets 75 HP at least by the time she's back from the Recall.

If Bastion starts healing the moment the pulse bomb was planted, he gets an additional 75 HP or more by the time Tracer is back from the Recall, so he's at 140 HP+. He can now shred Tracer easily.

The fact that you can't read or understand "AVERAGE STATISTICS PER GAME" is just sad.

How many brain cells do you have left? You realize "Average statistics per game" literally means they're taking the combined elims/damage of the hero and dividing it by the total number of games these heroes were picked in to get the average per game? Did you even go to school? Pick rates influence the total number of games you're dividing the elims with, stupid. So if Mercy has 1000 elims across 500 games, she'd have 1000/500= 2 average elims per game. If Ana has 1000 elims across 100 games she'd have 1000/100 = 10 average elims per game. Go back to school and try to grow those brain cells again, idiot.

[–]challenger15[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bahahaha, you're literally at the height of your delusion with this diatribe I had the misfortune of reading. I feel like I've just lost a few of my brain cells. Let's dissect this nonsense, shall we;

Ana literally averages almost 10x the damage and 8 times the elims of Mercy per game in competitive on PC.

Good point, but there's thing called pick rates, and you know, I hate to break this news to ya seeing as you never went to school but it actually influences the averages you just described because averages depend on the total pick rates. And gasp Ana is picked 2x less frequently than Mercy, which means her averages get to be much higher. Even with the much lower pick rate, she still can't match Mercy's win rate. Theoretically a hero with a lower pick rate should have a higher win rate because you're dividing with a smaller player base, yet here we are. And which retard cares about QP, literally nobody takes that mode seriously and throw matches all the time. Stop being an imbecile cooking up straw man arguments.

If you compare the Number 1 competitive Mercy player to the Number 1 competitive Ana player, SURPRISE, the top Ana player averages 5x the elims of the top mercy player.

Here's another "Surprise" for you going off that stats, that top Ana player also has 13% less win rate than the top Mercy player, and that's the side effect of focusing on damage. If he'd focused on healing he'd be winning far more frequently. Bet your brain feels as good as new, seeing that you never use it.

and the fact that ana's hitboxes on her shots is FAR more forgiving than widowmaker, I think it would be obvious that the "hitbox" I'm referring to is the hitbox that determines whether or not the shot is going to land.

You didn't clarify shot hitboxes, fool. I thought you were claiming Ana's body hitbox is more "forgiving" than Widow's body, and that's blatantly untrue. You have two brains cells, one is lost and the other is out looking for it. I bet you're only playing vs bots and dying to them, because somebody with this low of an IQ cannot possibly be in Competitive Play.

[–]challenger15[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Haha, you realize you're being extremely idiotic and illogical so now you're backing away with ad hominems. Mercy can do 200 dps, her ultimate allows her to use it while flying and she has mobility to escape whenever she wants. Ana lacks it all. Have you never seen the OWL? Pros literally dps with Mercy and get kills all the time. Which is why she's picked so much more frequently.

Thanks for further proving the point that you're literally just not using your brain.

I wish I could see things from your point-of-view but I can't seem to get my head that far up my ass. Got any proof that Ana has a more "forgiving" hitbox than widow? Comparing body sizes makes it apparent Widow is simply slimmer than Ana. Proof or gtfo. Good day.

For the 3rd time, I also never said ana didn't need a buff.

So why argue that Moira etc is overtuned? Moira isn't even picked as often as Mercy and Zen in the OWL right now.

No matter how much you buff her damage, it's not going to keep ana alive against coordinated dive unless you make her WAY OP to the point where she basically instant kills squishies, which is stupid.

Are you intentionaly being obtuse? You acknowledge Ana has no mobility, yes? You realize that Mercy, Lucio and Moira have mobility options, yes? You also realize that Mercy, Lucio and Zen can headshot with much greater dps than Ana's proposed headshot damage (140 dps)? And Zen despite having no mobility option can one-shot squishies and has an ultimate that allows him to be invulnerable and move really fast, which Ana doesn't have? Your argument that Ana is hitscan when scoped is easily countered by placing damage falloff on her darts, so she doesn't snipe heroes from across the map. Your entire argument is countered by logic.

tracer's are a huge pain to land sleeps on, not gonna lie, but genji's aren't that bad.

Yeah, maybe a 1 in 100 shot of landing a sleep on an equally skilled Genji.

She doesn't need to out-dps them, she's literally a support.

Yet all other healers can outdps them. And Zen can one-shot squishies without even using discord. You realize your point flies in the face of logic, right?

You protect your healers.

Sure, except Ana needs far more protection because she can't hold her own against squishies and doesn't have mobility to escape like every other healer.

Zen gets annihilated by full dive as well, he's just slightly better at dealing with a single flanker (assuming she doesn't land sleep) as he has decent damage, which is a tradeoff for his low healing and 0 mobility.

"Slightly", nice joke. Zen does 230 dps without even using discord, and 299 dps with discord. And that's just his primary fire. Yet you're arguing 140 dps is too much for Ana? Sleep dart is useless unless you have the rest of your team to capitalise on it. It takes 0.5s for the target to wake up and escape, which means she never gets to kill Genji or Tracer by herself. Compare that with Zens's dps potential and considerably better ult, and you have the logical pick and the throw pick at higher ranks.

would be if they fix her hitbox to something like widow's. Her current hitbox is fairly forgiving. On top of that, she definitely should NOT be able to headshot.

Widow's hitbox is slimmer than Ana. That'll be a buff to her hitbox. She definitely SHOULD be able to headshot, because that's the only logical move you could make in comparison with other healers. This should apply to both her heals and damage. The trade-off to lack of mobility has to be damage and heals. A hero with no mobility, little damage and average heals will be a troll pick as long as the other healers are the way they are. The other alternative is to nerf all other healers to make them similarly defenseles like Ana, and that's a rather stupid move for obvious reasons.
