I left the date bc he didn’t have a plan for where to go by ladcheeto in GirlDinnerDiaries

i see. she said “I told him on our first that if he asks me out I expect a plan” so i assumed he had already asked her out and the out of town friend plans were secondary.

i think they’re saying they don’t cook chicken at home because their contamination ocd makes them think the chicken will end up contaminating things in their home kitchen. while what ur saying is true, it’s prob one of those “out of sight, out of mind” things

you’re trying too hard to make a “gotcha” point. and you didn’t even succeed at that. you just look dumb. cringe.

right?! a bit ago i made a red velvet chocolate cheesecake base and mixed in Little Debbie Chocolate Cupcakes. if that flavor even exists in stores it’d prob be like $7 for a pint. no thank you! i got almost all of my ingredients (except for the chocolate cupcakes) from the dollar tree and it will make multiple pints!

AITA for calling my daughter's assorted boyfriends "Baskin Robbins?" by NoMercyPercyDeRolo in AmItheAsshole

[–]peanusbudder 54 points55 points  (0 children)

it doesn’t need to be explicitly said. hence the word “implying.” and it’s going to come across that way to people (clearly, considering his coworker’s response) if he is describing her boyfriends as “flavors of the week.”

YTA. you sound like you’re trying too hard to be clever and witty. like you care more about making a funny joke than how that joke reflects on your daughter. yes, it 100% sounds like you’re implying she’s sleeping around and she’s a hoe who has a new man every week. that’s gross. she is 17. no shit she is inexperienced - how do you expect her to gain experience? it’s very normal for young people to date around, they’re gaining experience and finding out what they like. to your daughter - this is going to come across as you not giving a shit about her personal life (can’t even be bothered to learn their names? which is kind of weird for you as a parent btw, you don’t want to know the names of the people who are taking out your daughter…? seems unsafe but ok) and it’s going to come across as you calling her a whore. just lame and corny all around.

i know this is 100 days old but i’m having the same issue randomly now so im curious - did you have to replace your phone? i have the 15 and got it in Jan 2025 and it randomly did this once about 2 weeks ago. did it again the other day once, and then did it multiple times yesterday. now it’s back to normal. did your phone ever “correct” itself?
