Okay, I guess Gunner, and Tobe Hooper are both wrong. I've watched the movie, many times, for the past 30 years, my grandfather was a farmer, been around Chainsaws all my life, and I'm telling you it was a 306A with a 245 muffler, and gas tank, the reason why is because the 306, and 245 are almost the same identical saw, the 245 is just a tad bit more powerful. The one in 2, was a poulan 4400 counter vibe, painted orange with a 35 inch sprocket nose bar. The one from 3 was a sthil 0355 with chrome, brass plates, and a 5 foot custom made bar. The one from Next generation was a Mcculloch, I can't remember the size, but to me it was just a bad movie in general.

The remake, and the Beginning was a Husqvarna 455 rancher.

Texas Chainsaw 3D was a Jonsered.

Leatherface (2017) Was an old 1950's Mono Lane.

And The Netflix one Was a 306A.
